ISABEL’S POV. I came back. I couldn't not come back. I had gone to Leo's room but I couldn't rest. No matter how tired and exhausted I was I couldn't bring myself to settle down well enough to get any rest. After turning and tossing around in bed for goddess knows how long, I finally gave up and decided to go back to my room to check if Elethria would be there this time. I had expected Elethria to appear like she always did as soon as I walked into the room. But still there was nothing. Just the same emptiness as before. This time I couldn't help but worry. Had something happened to her? Could ghosts get hurt or get killed too? Or worse—was she hiding because she knew something about all of this? Was she avoiding me on purpose? I rubbed my temples, trying to make sense of everything
