ISABEL'S POV. The tension in the room was so thick you could hang someone from it. It was suffocating. Leo’s voice echoed with such authority that the guard flinched, his hesitance giving way to compliance. Slowly, he dropped to his knees, his head bowing low. Wether it was in respect or fear was what I wasn't sure of. But even in his submission, I could still see the defiance in his posture. He raised his head slightly and shot me a harsh glare from the side of his eye, causing me to take a step back instinctively. Why was he glaring at me? I hadn't meant to cause any trouble.
