ISABEL'S POV The kitchen was warm and bustling, filled with the smell of roasted vegetables and spiced meat. I almost felt like myself again as I worked. I couldn't believe I had stayed away from the kitchen for so long. It was one of the few places in the Blood Moon pack where I didn’t feel completely out of place. The chatter of the other omegas floated around me as I kept myself busy helping with dinner prep, partly to distract myself from my thoughts. But the earlier conversation from Lila and Marcy still lingered somewhere at the back of my mind.
