Chapter 4: Amarok

"Who's that?" with irritated grumpy voice Amarok woke up after hearing a knock on his door. At first he ignored those knocks but after few minutes his instincts woke him up and he carefully walked on the door and peeped through the hole. No ones there on the other side. His hair pricked and he grabbed a silver knife. As soon as he opened the door...

"Boo" Amarok put the knife in his nephew's throat. Just before slit it open he knocked those silver blade from his throat.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Jake entered his house ignoring Amarok gritted teeth.

"Can't a nephew checked on his uncle?" He propped himself on his couch and patted the seat next to him.

Amarok stood on his ground started at him deeply.

"You are not supposed to be here" he told him sternly.

"If only your father knows where you are..."

"Why don't you turn to a wolf, if you thought someone is wrong on the other side" he looked at his hand clenching silver knife.

"When I oath that am not turning into wolf. I swear it from my heart Willams" Amarok sat on love seat.

"You know I had to abandon you " Williams looked on to his ground fidgeting with his finger.

"And what changed your mind Williams?" Amarok sat straight at his word.

Jake left a deep sigh, "Uncle do you hate me so much to call me Jake" he looked outside window watching the half grown moon.

"You said yourself not to call your name and am respecting that" his jaw clenched.

"I know am a shitty self-centered person but I am going to pay for my mistakes" Jake closed his eyes thinking about Carla.

"What changed your mind Williams" Amarok had a smirk on his lips.

"I met my mate..."

"and..."

"She is a human" his eyes become pitch dark when he remembered her little face.

Boris left a deep sigh.

"When did this happened?"

"Yesterday after school, I met at her at the terrace"

"Did anyone know?"

"No, you are the first one that I told"

"And why is that?" Amarok looked deep into his eyes and Jake squinted in his seat.

"Because you are the only one who knows how that feels"

"Williams you are our next alpha. You can't mate a human" Amarok sat straight and stared into Jake's skull.

"Then I will never be an alpha"

"No you can't"

"I can"

"No you are..."

"You did this... You backed from being an alpha for your friend. And you are telling me to not to back off from being an alpha for my mate?" Jake yelled at Amarok

"Who is she?" Jake met her yesterday and didn't even told her yet and still he is sitting here to make a decision of being alpha just for her. Then their bond must be a strong one. Amarok smirked at his thought.

"Carla Winstern"

"WHAT??!" Amarok jumped from his seat.

"I know you know her. She told me that she took therapy and I guessed she must be your patient. So..."

"GET OUT!!!"

"What?" Jake was so confused. Ofcourse he expect him to be shocked but why is he mad?

"Uncle I can understand as her doctor you are..."

"She is not just my patient Williams"

Jake frowned at his madness.

"And never ever even think about her" That's it.

Growing up as a child he heard about his uncle who was backed off from being an alpha, he wanted to see him. And succeed to make contact with Amarok Boris. Amarok become fond of his nephew. He constantly meet him after his school, taking him to ice cream and even spending with him at his house. But never told that to his parents.

One day they came to know that Jake is contacting Amarok and told him that he abandoned his own pack just because of his friend who is an another wolf of their pack. It didn't made Jake to abandon him but when his father told that he took an oath not to turn himself into his wolf form. He was mad at him. It's a shame for a werewolf to abandon their wolf form. His father Lycaon didn't even told Amarok's friend's name or why even his name is restricted to talk.

To be the next in line for being an alph Jake had no choice but to left his uncle. He cut all the contact from his beloved Uncle and left him heartbroken. Lycaon always told that Amarok is a traitor and coward. All that he did for his friend but couldn't even save his friend's life. I always wanted to ask him more details about that but his father make tantrum whenever he spill Amarok's name.

After everything happened here he is sitting on his uncle's house telling his secret and him being over reacting is just pathetic.

Jake stood on his ground dusted his shoulder, looked deep into his uncle and said,

"She is my mate and one day I will mark her and keep her beside me as an alpha" and that he left his house slammed the door hard.

Amarok watch him leaving with wide eyes and murmured, "you can't have her if you are going to be an alpha".
