Chapter 6: Session

"You don't have to pick me up from school. Thanks tho" I told Boris closing the car door as we reached his home.

"Oh I had some business nearby and I thought I could pick you up there" He hold his door and we entered his house.

Boris had this extremely calm, comfy house. There's nothing to be awestruck but it give you the vibes of relaxing just but being there. or is just me feel that?

"So what's the occasion? Is something wrong?" coming to business he have the change of his expression which will be unjustified.

"Nothing much I... I just..." I forget what was the purpose of this session for few seconds and regained myself "I just had this thoughts in my head and couldn't help but I tried to jump off from school building" I lowered my head. I don't want to look disappointed Boris face. I felt a hand in my shoulder gripping hard and I felt his hand shaking?

"And why did you thought like that?" he cleared his throat.

"I don't know. It's been 8 years that I felt something. It's been 8 years since my mom acknowledged me. It's been 8 years am convincing myself that I am a normal human being. And couldn't ignore those things. I couldn't lie to myself just to survive for what purpose? So I thought it'll be good to be gone. I mean who will miss me? There's no one for took a glance that I disappear. So why not?"

I had literally 26 sessions with Boris but I never saw him had this distressed defeated look on his face. He left a sigh.

"And what changed your mind?"

"Nothing. It's just an incident and I caught up with it's consequence. I thought I could share this to you"

"What was that incident?" His stare was so intense.

"A guy from my class caught me before I jump and invited to his party"

"And?"

"And what?"

"Did you attend that party?"

"I did... I mean I backed my plan but I caught up with that guy again. So I can't avoid it"

"Whose that guy? Is he your friend?"

"No not a friend"

"Acquaintance?"

"May be... am not sure. I talked to him just twice that's it"

"Huh... then?"

"Then I left the party early and when I walked back home I saw this huge wolf. Boris did you ever have an encounter with that huge wolf people talking?"

"Actually I did"

"Do they follow human? Like you know to hunt or something?"

Boris squinted his eyes "Why do you think that wolf followed you?"

"It left after I get back to my home. So I thought that time was it's hunting time and I crossed it's path" She had goosebumps just by the memory. She shook her head and saw Boris who is starring out of his window intensionally.

"Dr.Boris.."

"Carla I told you a lot of time to call me by Amarok. Don't be too formal with me" He smiled fondly. I always had this safe comfortable feel when am around him.

"So let's talk about today. How are you feeling right now"

Carla chewed her bottom lip "I mean it's totaly opposite from yesterday. I felt like s**t yesterday but today... I feel pretty great"

"Any specific reason?"

"I mean... my mom kissed me when am sleep and she made me breakfast and packed lunch. She is in normal state today and I don't know I felt some energy just by seeing her normal" Boris leaned on his chair and smiled at Carla's words.

"No one picked me up on school..."

"Don't lie to me. I saw that Barbora girl picking on you"

"Oh that... yeah she tried to pick on me that morning and I handled it well actually and I don't know why she picked me again"

Boris hummed and took some notes.

"Can I ask you something Dr.Boris?"

"Sure"

"Why did Martha scared of you?"

"Who said Martha scared of me?"

"I just saw today"

"Am an elder guy. May be she got intimated by me"

"She didn't intimidated first but after you tell her name"

"Her parents are acquaintance of mine. So may be she scared of telling her parents that she is a bully"

"That makes sense" Carla murmured but still unsatisfied.

"So Carla do you still experience Emotional numbness"

"Actually I do and am not willing to take serotonin booster"

"Any particular reason?"

"My dad wouldn't love that" She closed her eyes and Amarok puffed his chest in proud.

"Carla, am really proud of you little girl"

Carla scrunched her eyes at this new name.

"Ummm... thanks" it sounds more like a question.

"Come on I'll drop you at home"

"That's alright Amarok. I can walk home"

"Not when a huge wolf following you. Come on little"

Why Boris act so close and lovely. With that thought she had no choice but to follow him.

After a calm ride they both reached her home. Carla came out of the car,

"Thanks Amarok"

"Anytime little girl. Be safe and don't hesitate to contact me whenever you need someone to help. Not only just as a doctor umm... think that am your family friend. Okay?"

"Umm... okay" May be she need someone to reach out in dangerous situation. With a wolf roaming in her area.

After waved a bye she went into her house. He send her off with a fond smile. As soon as she shut the front door, Amarok called Jake,

"Come out of that bush and get in my car now. Don't make me repeat son" he literally spat those words.

After few seconds Jake buckled himself in shot gun. Amarok's eyes dangerously stared at him.

"Do not think about that girl or you'll have your consequence"

"Am ready to face the consequences" Jake replied without taking his eyes off of that door.

"We are going to have long conversation" Amarok pulled his car from the driveway and reached his house.
