I wake up and stretch, looking around to see where I am. I’m in the infirmary. I look at Zip, who is awake, and he offers me a small smile.
“Zip, you’re awake. Thank god for that. I thought we were going to lose you.” I say to him as I reach my hand out between our beds and he takes it in his and chuckles, then winces.
“It will take more than a bullet to the gut to kill me. Thank you to you and Hunter for saving me. X-Ray told me what happened. I’m forever in both your debts.” Zip says and I chuckle shaking my head, and squeeze his hand tighter.
