Ana In our world, omegas were nobody. We were nothing but slaves and helpers with no future. No one even thought we could be assigned mates by the goddess. After about two hours, we were finally done and stood in a line to collect our payment, when reaching my turn, Madam rose gave me twenty-five gold coins instead of fifty. “Ma’am, this is half of my pay, I’m supposed to get fifty gold coins”. I spoke up with a teary voice. “What did you think, Ana? I called you here to work, but you kept resting, take it and leave!” She replied, pushing me away. This wasn’t the first time I am being cheated but this time around it pained me the most, I have not eaten since the previous day, and I was really hoping for this money, so I could buy some food. I went to the waterside to drink water, plenty of villagers were there washing their clothes, I sighted a tree and walked there to sit, that was the worst decision I made because a few minutes later, two children sat down there eating, I wanted to beg them for some, but then I heard their mothers shouting that they leave the place the cursed one was sitting.
