* * * * Gabe I made up a phony work order for a repair in the wiring of the long table at the front of the big chem lecture hall. There are lots of outlets in the table the professors use to illustrate their lectures, and the room was so big I thought Jay Bonner and I could hide in the last row of seats without being seen by the vandal/saboteur, who, I was convinced, had to be a member of my crew. Soon after the building was closed down by campus security, Jay and I let ourselves back in with my pass key and sat down in the dark arena. I confess I was excited.
