BEGINNING
The moon was high up in the sky. It's rays shining brightly into Brian’s room. It was 2am and on his bed he laid staring at the ceiling. The night was long and he could hear the hand of the clock tick every second. Brian was having trouble sleeping as was the previous two nights. Everytime he closed his eyes, he'd get a feeling his heart would stop. His nightmares even by his standard were scary.
“Wake up!” “Wake up!” Clarissa yelled at Brian.
Brian was able to get some sleep after 3 days of insomnia. His mom had come up to wake him because he was running late for school.
Brian attends “The Royale High School”; one of the top schools in the community just a few minutes’ drive from his house.
“Welcome the new student everyone” Miss Charlotte said to the class.
The new kid introduced himself as Jack and went to have a seat beside Brian aiming an obnoxious grin in his direction.
Brian rarely got along with other students except Mitchell. There were also a few guys who respected him for his football prowess but they weren’t exactly his friends due to the huge difference in their social statuses. He’s had a few bullies growing up and Jack was showing potential to be one.
During break, Brian and Mitchell headed out to the pitch to get some game action before being joined by Jack whom had become quite popular with the girls, thanks to his amazing look and physique and the big boys of their class. The game was rather a one sided affair. The loser crew were bullied and jeered with Brian walking off at half-time obviously angry but doing his best to calm his nerves. An art he had mastered over time.
After school hours, Brian, walking home alone was caught up in his head thinking about a way to get back at Jack for what he had done earlier before he was interrupted by Mitchell. Mitchell has been Brian’s best friend since Brian and his family moved into the community 3 years ago.
“I found this cool object in my forest expedition yesterday” Showing a crystal ball with some markings on it to Brian. “Mind keeping it for me?” Brain's house was always used as a storage place for Mitchell's cool stuffs. His foster parents never let him keep them.
Brian collected the ball and both had a long conversation before they departed went to their respective houses.
“He has the stone” Braeden said to a mysterious man whose eyes glowed red with desperation.
“It is time” replied the man with a smiling face.
