The death of Ariana not only unlocked Briana's supernatural abilities, it also left a deep scar on the last two Evans. Briana became a shadow of herself. Becoming a werewolf was supposed to make her feel more connected but instead made her become more distant to the rest of the pack. She saw all of them as evil, selfish bastards. Staying with the pack made her feel like she was running out of air, so she left the pack with her father's and the Alpha's permission to go live amongst the humans. It was a much needed space. Living in an environment dominated by humans felt more peaceful than she had ever been at her birthplace. Being a lively and fun person, she made a ton of friends and got along well with others. Staying with the Smiths, she developed some sort of sensation towards the youngest of them; Harry. She always felt safe and loved around him considering Harry was a popular person courtesy of his skills most of which she picked up in order to further conceal her true identity.

Three years later, Briana sneaked home on the anniversary of Ariana's death as she always did every year. Little did she know it would be her last time visiting the place she once called home.

She was exiled from the alliance for allegedly killing Mia; a five year old daughter of a prominent werebear. Her hatred for her birthplace and the people in it grew stronger.

Even though the humans were not allowed to accommodate exiled supernaturals, the hunters took her in and thus Lord Evans' plan was set in motion.

Two months later on a full moon, she was locked in a room with twenty students on a school party day. They were the first collateral of war. The hunters made the first move holding up their end of the bargain. The first missile was launched.

In recent years, Alpha Leo had been the last string holding together the alliance. Stepping down wasn't an option neither was slaughtering twenty were-wolves but he owed Briana for protecting Eric. Lionel was cornered and quite caught up in a dilemma, he chose to forsake Briana. As hard as it was, he chose to put his family first. Anyone would be guilty of that. His decision would eventually become the nuke of war angering Brianna, making her fully commit to her father's plan. She had always been on the fence whenever she had a decision to make. She never supported nor did she ever oppose her father. She never wanted to be involved until Lord Leo's decision.

Barely recovering from the first missile, Lord Evans launched the second attack. Brianna outed Eric as the Mia's murderer explaining to the masses how she got her blue eyes through her tears. Talking about Arianna always made her emotional, teary. Ever since they lost their mom, she always looked up to Arianna. Her sister whom she admired so much deserved better. “She deserved to live" Brianna broke down but not to garner sympathy. She was crying because she had just gone against her beloved sister's beliefs.

“Every life is precious and should be cherished" Arianna would always say but to Brianna, only her sister's was and sadly had ended. She couldn't care less about the lives that were going to be lost soon. Doubt, as they say is the seed of discord. There was no recovering from this for the Carters.

Lionel was stripped of his Alpha status and was banished alongside his family. After sixteen years of peace, the throne was up for grabs. Disputes arose over the next leader of the alliance. The atmosphere was filled with the smoke of war. Hunters readied their weapons, Lord Evans; newly becoming the werewolves' alpha fed them chosen facts to manipulate his pack and the were-bears had a question on their hands that needed urgent answer. Most bears decided to abide by the council's verdict while a few chose to protect their queen irrespective of her recent action. The entire community was frenzy-filled and on the night the Carters were supposed to sneak away from their home, Gabrielle went into labour.
