REUNION

The next day at school, Brain continued his war with Jack and he was winning before Mitchell pulled him aside to inform him of what he had heard the other day. Liza had been stalking him all day and it was making him creep out.

Brain’s change in attitude and the attention seeking behaviour was his way of hiding in the crowd. Although he was enjoying it, it was a plan developed by his family to keep them out of danger by making themselves known to the town in order for people to notice their sudden disappearance if it ever happened. It was a fail-safe against the Alpha and his pack that attacked them a few days ago.

It was a great plan but recently discovering the identity of the Alpha made Brian curios and eager to seek out his brother which Clarissa and Harry objected to. Brian was going to question his parents further when they heard someone at the door.

“Hello brother” Eric grinned as he let himself in into the Robinson’s home. He had come with Braeden and Liza; who led them to the Robinson’s home by following Mitchell’s scent.

Melissa eyes turned blue while Harry got his crossbow ready at the sight of Eric as she snarled her fangs at him to keep him away from Brian. Brian was quite confused at the manner in which his foster parents reacted but he could see the resemblance.

Eric grabbed himself a seat relatively showing no interest to what was happening around him. He was fixated on Brian and had just come down to have a conversation.

“Do you know Melissa and Harry were a great factor in the death of our parents?” Eric asked Brian with a face devoid of emotions and eyes as cold as steel glanced at both Harry and Melissa.

Seventeen years ago before the great supernatural war and the birth of Brian, there was a little incident that would go on to set a war in motion. There had been a little distress surrounding the top personalities that held the alliance between the wolves and the bears together. Lord Evans; a deputy to Lord Lionel was a power hungry werewolf and wasn’t very fond of Lord Leo’s way of handling situations with the bears and the humans. He always felt Lionel treated the humans too nice and had given too much freedom to the bears because of Lady Gabrielle.

Evans was a man who believed in supremacy and was always obsessed with being at the top alone. He was the third strongest person in the alliance behind Lionel and Gabrielle. If only he could become Alpha of the alliance, he could turn his wishes into reality. His ill feelings towards Lionel started the day he lost the battle to become Alpha to Lionel who was way younger than he was. The loss took away a lot from him and he would have left the pack but his family needed the alliance more than they needed his ego. His wife was greatly ill and his daughters were not old enough to fend off hunters who had the rights to hunt down supernaturals that were not in the alliance on their own nor could he keep them safe on his own. As much as he hated being a beta to Leo, the pack was the safest place for his daughters until Melissa committed an offence that would lead to her banishing.

Melissa had troubles controlling her rage which would eventually cost everyone a great deal when she killed twenty humans in a fit of rage when a guy tried to r**e her at a school party. Although she killed her attacker in self-defense, her rage got the better of her. She went on a killing spree before being subdued by Harry; her boyfriend. This unfortunate incident would serve as the beginning of the end of the alliance when the leaders of the human faction made a tough request to the super-naturals for them to atone for the sin of one of their own. The humans requested “The death of the Alpha or the execution of twenty were-wolves”.
