I am standing in the training field, waiting for the guards to escort Regina out of the dungeons and on to the stage. The crowd parts as Regina is escorted through. Most of the pack has turned out for the rejection ceremony.
The atmosphere would normally be somber at a rejection ceremony, but the atmosphere is also carnival like. The pack are excited to see Regina being removed as Luna of the pack, many never even saw or recognized her as the Luna, which makes this a lot easier on both me and the pack.
Regina steps on stage, her nervousness clear for all to see. The guards step back but keep Regina cuffed in silver. A part of me does not want to reject her simply because of the pain it will put her through, but I know that it is the right thing to do.
