Queens Reign

What is that saying…? Ah yes, not my monkeys, not my zoo. Well, I wish that was the case for myself. I sighed. Why the hell did I get into this mess in the first place!? I knew the trouble that was coming my way and yet I did nothing to stop it because I wanted it, welcomed it even. I straightened my back, lifted my chin and walked into the room full of testosterone, stupid males. There was not a single female leader in their culture, and that showed in this room. Everyone immediately let out a growl of displeasure. “Y’all can go f**k yourselves. I belong here and there is nothing that you can do about it. As I am the Queen. I fought my way here and I will take you all down with me if I must!” I was pissed. I let my power wash over the room. They had no idea what they were messing with, and it clearly showed this council of men from the different factions of underworlders. You may be doing a double take at the last bit of information, but the truth is all those stories that are put out there about the creatures in the night are very real. There are even ones that humans do not know about. These are hybrids usually made from being blessed by the Goddess herself with parents of different species being mated. Our Goddess Ereshkigal is a fierce woman that commands the underworld. She is a great warrior who is ruthless in the pursuit of what is in her heart. I am the Queen of my race. I fought hard for that title, rising and fighting everyone that I had to. I am a vampire, the other men are made up of shifters (as there are many different types), fairies (no they are not thumbnail size), fae, dragons (they do not associate with shifters), demons, angels (yes both are real as well), and witches each fraction has a hierarchy at the top a ruler or a council member to make sure that we do not get exposed. Of course, this also means that the role of police also falls on their shoulders. Trust me there are many that would like to change our world and take it back to the old ways.  They believe that these ways were better for all but, in reality, they were killing all of our species. Feeding on humans with no restraint, killing those who opposed them, the world was chaos and it showed in human history. Did I mention that we all worship different Goddesses as well? Times made it tough for any of us to get our s**t together and so they all got together and decided that their subjects were to fall in line with one they chose to lead. Oh, our deities are real as well. They cannot interfere in our lives or make choices for us, but they are there to listen and provide guidance. Of course, we do not have access to them; this is done through prayer. One more thing to note is that they all decide who we are with for life as we mate for the duration of our lives. This does not mean we cannot date or have fun with others though. Most will, in fact, do this till they find their fated mate, as we all have needs. Now that the pleasantries are taken care of, let's get back to the problem at hand here.
