CHAPTER 13Kyla had her own guest roundhouse in the village. It was quite large and had a massive straw mattress and several warm rugs that she could cuddle under. There was no door but a curtain covered the small entrance and a ladder led up to a mezzanine floor that contained stored items. The fire that had burnt in the centre of the room had died down but there was still heat in the embers. She placed another log on the fire and watched as smoke encircled it and burst into flames, before crawling back under the covers.
