What have I done to the Moon goddess to deserve this kind of life? When everything starts to go smoothly, disaster strikes again."
"I am in the same hospital in which I was admitted the same day I came to this pack. But only this time I have a bandage on my head and a drip on my hand."
"I can't remember anything except that I came back from a run and entered the bathroom."
"What happened? Why is there a bandage on my head? Why is there a drip on my hand? I need answers immediately."
A doctor came in to see me, but not the same woman that tended to me the last time.
She checked the drip infusion bag, my temperature, and my nostrils.
"What happened to me, doctor?"
"You had chronic food poisoning, and you lost a bit of blood due to a hit on your head."
"Food poisoning? How? I didn't eat anything before or after my morning run. How come I got food poisoning?"
Shortly after, Alex and Emily entered the ward. He started to touch my body to see if I am alright.
"Alex, take it easy. I am fine. You could even hurt me more as you're palpating my body," I said.
"Sorry, sorry. I am so sorry. I am just worried about what could have happened to you," Alex said, concerned.
"Tell Kim I am alright," Nova said to me.
"Kim is happy to hear that," Alex reported back to me.
Emily looked at both of us with disgust.
Suddenly, a guy rushed into my ward and whispered something into Alex's ear.
"I have to go quickly. Something just came up. Emily, please stay with her," Alex said, agitated while rushing out of the ward.
"I am hungry, Emily. Can you get me my dinner, please?"
"What do you mean by dinner? It's early morning. We came because the doctor called us that you are awake."
"What? So I have been out since yesterday?"
"You passed out three days ago, my dear. You're lucky that Alex saw you early and rushed to the hospital ASAP."
A nurse brought me a semi-solid, fluid food. It looked like mashed potatoes with too much water. It tasted awful.
"What sort of food is this? Can I get something better?"
"You can't just eat anything at the moment. You haven't eaten anything for three days, and your body is still coping to recover from the poisoning," the nurse said.
"What do you think made Alex run off like that?" I asked Emily.
"I would guess they caught the person that tried to kill you. Kylian is the one leading the search for the person. He is very good with things like that. He learned it from my late dad."
"Do you know my brother loves you?"
Almost choking on my food, "I didn't know he does," I replied, coughing.
After eating the food and taking my medicine, I fell asleep.

"Zina, Zina, wake up. You are being discharged from the hospital," Alex said as he woke me up.
"I'm so happy to see you awake. The bastard that did this to you has been apprehended," Kylian said.
"Let's go home, Zina. You'll be fine at my place," Alex said.
"Why can't you let her come over to my own house? She would be with me, and Emily can still keep her company. Remember she was attacked at your place," Kylian said.
"I concur with Kylian," Emily said.
"Sorry, I don't agree with you guys. She stays at my place," Alex said authoritatively.

I woke up feeling unwell again. My whole body was in pain and I felt like a flame. I am on my heat period. "Heat period is what female werewolves go through after they meet their mate but before they have finished bonding and marking themselves."
I went to the bathroom, prepared a bath, and soaked myself in the water. My wolf became active, trying to take over. Reddish dots started to appear on my private parts.
"We have to meet our mate, we need our mate. Only our mate can relieve the pain," Nova said.
Alex came into the bathroom not long after, carried me into bed, covered my body, fed me some candy and chocolates, and cuddled me to sleep.
When I woke up, I no longer felt any pain. The reddish spots had all gone away.
But Alex had left me alone in the room, though I could still smell his fragrance on my bedsheets.
I saw a sheet of paper on the bed.
"Sorry I had to leave you, but duty calls and can't be delayed. I will see you at night and we will have the best time of our life. Alexxxx xoxo."
I smiled. I can't wait for Alex to see me at night.
I took a book about the history of Darkhide pack from the shelf.
I learned that the Darkhide and Moonland packs were actually from the same ancestral origin, so I am still in the same pack technically.
I was so engrossed in the book I was reading that I didn't realize it was evening already, not until Alex entered the room.
He was holding a large paper bag, and I could smell something tasty from it.
"I left work early to see you. I brought you this delicacy. I am sure it is the best you have tasted in your whole life."
"I can't wait to eat both you and the food," I replied seductively.
After eating the food, I must say, this is truly the best food I have ever eaten in my life.
Alex put on music on the TV and we started to make out. He kissed me on my neck and then my lips.
We started undressing each other. After removing my top, my breasts were staring at him. He started to suck on my n****e, and I couldn't hold back the pleasure as I moaned loudly.
"Don't moan so loud, baby. We don't want to be heard."
He licked my breasts down to my lower belly. He removed my panties as he continued to kiss me all over.
"I am going to mark you as my mate now."
His fangs appeared as he marked my neck. It was a sharp pain followed by a deep sensation of pleasure.
I also marked him on his neck.
Then he laid me on the bed, put a pillow under my waist, and started with slow thrusts. He increased the pace of the thrusts. I moaned and tried to suppress my screams, but I couldn't as I screeched with delight.
As we raced to climax, he finished off with very slow thrusts. He did it so slowly that it felt so good I didn't want it to stop forever.
We both stopped after we both came.
We both lay down on the bed, all sweaty and panting.
"I bless the day I wandered into this pack," I said with genuine joy.
"You are my mate now, as we have completed the mating process. Nobody can come between us," Alex said, turning to sleep.

Using Alex's influence, I got a job at a restaurant in the pack. It was a nice job, but I noticed that they don't ask me to do a lot, and I'm guessing that was on Alex's request.
Today, I am on serving duty, responsible for anybody who is not planning to eat in the restaurant and wants their food packed up.
As I was doing my work, Kylian walked in, smiled, and walked over to me.
The strangest thing happened as he greeted me.
"You would like to have Grilled lamb chops with garlic and rosemary, right?" It was like I heard what he wanted to order before he even said it.
"How come you know what I wanted to order? Even my mum has never been able to guess what I want to eat," Kylian asked, with shock written all over his face.
"I just guessed, Kylian. I am really good at guessing. Here is your order. I would have said your order is on the house, but I don't own the house," I said jokingly.
"Since you can guess what I want, which nobody has been able to do before, I think we are soulmates."
"I think we are soulmates," I replied because I didn't want to break his heart.
"I'd like to take you on a date, Zina. I'll pick you up when you close."
Before I could turn down his request, he dashed off. I already have a date with Alex.
"You can't cheat on your mate," Nova warned me.
My senses became very heightened, and I knew everybody's order before they ordered. I think I have developed a mind-reading superpower. What is the Moon goddess turning me into?
