Chapter Three

"We kept looking at each other until Nova told me the name of the other wolf is Kimberly.
Nova said she is super happy to meet her mate.
What, a new mate? What is the Moon goddess thinking?
Scared of being rejected again by the new mate, I ran back toward Alex's house. I got to where I left my clothes. I shifted back to human form and put on my clothes before running back into the house.
When I got into the house everybody was in their rooms, luckily. I rushed into my room. I couldn't control my emotions; I started to cry. I can't stand to be rejected because the wolf I saw was too majestic to be an omega's wolf, I thought. But come to think of it, I turned into a rare white wolf. Would it mean that I am related to an Alpha?
A knock on my door brought me back to life. "Alpha says you should come down stairs for your breakfast," the maid said.
"Okay, I will be down soon," I replied.
As I was having my bath, I was praying and hoping that the wolf I met in the woods should be Kylian's wolf because I have developed a allure for him.
As I got to the dining room, I met Adriana and Julian and a new girl I never met before.
"Why did you shift into your wolf form?" Julian asked, surprised.
I totally forgot that my scent would change if I shifted into a werewolf.
"Alexander has brought a rogue into the pack to kill us all," Adriana said.
"Who is she?" The new girl asked.
"She is Zina, Kylian rescued her from some rogues at the border," Julian said.
Alex came into the dining room with two plates of food.
He looked at me with awe but quickly masked his facial expression.
"Why did you shift into your wolf form around the house? I don't know if it is allowed in your pack but in Darkhide we don't shift without any reason here, is that clear?" he asked.
"Meet Emily; she is my childhood friend and Kylian's sister. Emie, this is Zina, a new member of the pack," Alex said sitting down.
"Emie is our Luna; she is going to be Alex's mate," Adriana said.
Alex looked at his mum, frowning.
I couldn't understand what was going on but, I know something is wrong with Alex.
Everyone ate their food in silence."

"I no longer do menial jobs in the house again thanks to Alex, but I am bored to death anytime Kylian or Julian are not around. I complained about this to Alex, but he told me it would change soon.
One night while I was in the garden, admiring the moon and stars.
"Alpha Alexander wants to see you in his study," Elyn the maid told me.
"I don't know if you noticed that it was my wolf you met in the woods the other day," Alex said.
"I didn't meet any wolf since I came here," I said.
"What is wrong with you, are you going insane?" Nova asked angrily.
I was a bit disappointed, because I wished it was Kylian's wolf I had met, because I am really getting to like him.
"Why did you run away when our wolves met?" Alex asked.
I couldn't believe it; it was Alex's wolf I met the other day. I couldn't contain the mix of happiness, fear, and guilt.
"I didn't know it was you the other day," I replied, stuttering.
"You ran away from your mate. It doesn't matter who it was; you can't run away from your mate," he said, getting closer to me.
"I was just confused and scared. I thought you would reject me," I said.
"And why would I reject you? We are destined together by the Moon goddess."
Blood rushed to my face as I blushed at his words. I told you our mate won't reject us, Nova whispered to me.
He hugged me tight and planted a kiss on my lips. It was the best feeling I have felt in my life. He loosened me from his embrace and held my hands, then kissed my forehead.
"I would never reject you, and nothing will ever take us apart again. You should go back to your room now; it is late at night."
As I left his room, I remembered his mum's words: "Emily is going to be the Luna and Alex's mate." I couldn't stop ringing in my head. As I slept on my bed, on the other side, I am scared that I am breaking Kylian's heart.
The following morning, I was going to sneak into Alex's room to see him, planning to make out again, when I heard his mum's voice.
"Don't be a disgrace to our pack and your late father's memory; you are an Alpha for crying out loud. Emily has been waiting her whole life for you, yet you refuse to make her your mate," Adriana said with a resounding voice.
"Look mum, it is a work in progress. I am going to announce my mate in a month or two," Alex replied calmly.
"You know an Alpha without a mate is seen as weak and unfit to lead a pack. I hope you do what is right soon and don't bring shame and disgrace upon this family and this pack," Adriana said.
Sensing that she was planning to leave the room, I ran on my tiptoes silently back to my room.
Me and Alex couldn't see each other for two days because he is so busy doing his work as the Alpha.
On a Saturday evening, he came into my room while I was about to sleep.
He saw me lying gracefully on the bed, his eyes had dark rings around them like he hadn't slept since the last time I saw him. Immediately I noticed it, I got up from the bed and hugged him. Then I noticed he was holding a box of chocolates and a rose flower.
"I am sorry for not checking up on you since the last time we saw each other," I apologized.
"You don't need to be sorry, my girl. I am the one who was too occupied with my job and refused to check up on a beautiful gift sent to me by the Moon goddess," Alex said swiftly.
He dropped the chocolate box on the bed and put the rose in my hair.
"Thank you for coming into my life," he said as he lifted me up.
He placed me gently on the bed and started to kiss me on my neck, then my lips, then my forehead. He nibbled on my n****e from under my pajamas; a soft moan came out of my mouth.
"This is the best day of my life," Nova whispered.
"You are the best thing in my life at the moment," Alex said.
"I am so glad I met you," I replied.
We slept together on the same bed; he cuddled me to sleep.
The following morning, Alex woke up and his eyes' rings and his sore muscles had healed.
"It has been an awfully long time I woke up feeling this good. Thank you for coming into my life once again," Alex said.
He snuck back to his room before anybody in the house noticed he slept over in my room.
We began having sleepovers at each other's rooms after that day; Nova became very happy and hyper.

One day, I decided to go for a run in the woods very early in the morning to avoid being seen in my wolf form because I didn't want any unnecessary attention due to the uniqueness of my wolf.
While coming back from my run, I noticed that I was being followed. I looked back, but I didn't see anyone.
When I got into the house, I went straight into the bathroom to freshen up. As I came out of the bathroom, I saw that my window was closed. I am quite sure it was open when I left for the run.
Suddenly, I began to feel uneasy. My legs started shaking, my mouth went dry, and my head spun.
Suddenly, I heard my door open and something hit the back of my head.
I couldn't see the person who hit me on my head; blood started coming out of my head and nose. Before I could scream for help, everything blacked out.
