LUNAR CURSE
Ethan, a 19-year-old high school student, loved adventure. On a camping trip with friends, they gathered around the campfire, sharing stories about their crushes. "I'm crushing on Sarah," one friend said, and Ethan chimed in, "I've got a thing for Emily." His friends teased him, "Really? You've never even talked to her!" Ethan shrugged, "Yeah, I don't have the courage to tell her how I feel." One of his friends, trying to be helpful, offered to assist him. "Don't worry, I'll help you out!" he said with a grin. Ethan's eyes widened in alarm, "Really?!" His friend laughed, "Of course, I'm your friend!"
As the night wore on, Ethan excused himself to find a spot to relieve himself. "Hey guys, is there a bathroom around here? I really need to go!" One of his friends replied with a sarcastic tone, "Oh, yeah, you can use the bushes!" The others laughed, and Ethan rolled his eyes, "Ha ha, very funny." Feeling a bit embarrassed, Ethan walked away from the campsite to find a secluded spot.
As he ventured further into the woods, the darkness seemed to close in around him. He stumbled upon a small clearing and quickly did his business. But as he turned to leave, he noticed the bushes rustling. Suddenly, a huge flock of birds fluttered out of the forest, as if frightened. "What's going on?" Ethan wondered, feeling a shiver run down his spine. That's when a mysterious creature emerged from the bushes and attacked, biting him on the arm. Ethan screamed in pain as the beast pinned him to the ground. The creature's teeth sank deeper into his flesh, and Ethan felt an excruciating pain. He tried to overpower it, but it was too strong. Just when he thought all was lost, he spotted a large stick nearby. With a surge of adrenaline, he grabbed the stick and struck the beast with all his might. The creature moaned in agony and pain, giving Ethan just enough time to scramble back to camp. “Guys, we need to get out of here, now!" Ethan exclaimed, his voice shaking with fear. His friends were shocked by his appearance, "What happened?!" they asked, rushing to his side. Ethan was beyond words, "There's a beast after us! We need to go!" His friends quickly packed their belongings, and they rushed Ethan to the hospital.
At the hospital, the doctor examined Ethan's wounds and said, "You've lost a lot of blood, but you'll be fine. Just rest and recover." Ethan's friends stayed with him, worried and curious about what had happened. As Ethan drifted off to sleep, he couldn't shake off the feeling that his life had changed forever. The bite marked the beginning of Ethan's nightmare. He started noticing strange symptoms: enhanced senses, increased strength, and uncontrollable transformations under the full moon. At first, he thought it was just his imagination, but as the days passed, the transformations became more frequent and intense. Ethan struggled to cope with his new identity, feeling like a monster. He tried to hide his condition from his friends and family, but it became increasingly difficult. The full moon was approaching, and Ethan could feel the transformation taking hold. He locked himself in his room, hoping to contain the beast within. But as the moon rose high in the sky, Ethan felt his body changing. His senses became sharper, his strength increased, and his mind grew cloudy. The forest creature's bite had unleashed a beast within him, and Ethan's life would never be the same. He was torn between fear and fascination, unsure of what the future held. As the transformation took hold, Ethan knew he had to find a way to control it before it was too late. He couldn't let the beast consume him completely.
