Becoming King and Queen part 1

Erin’s POV

Its the morning of the full moon. We stayed in the castle last night. It felt strange to be back in my childhood home. My Aunt Katie has Liam for today while I’m getting ready for tonight. My cousin Cindy, Sue , and Cassie are all helping me get ready. “So blue or green?” I look at Cassie as she is holding up the blue dress and Cindy beside her holding up the green dress. “Let’s go with blue because John loves the color blue.”

Sue starts fixing my hair with small tight curls. While Cindy is working on my nails and Cassie is working on my make-up. After a few hours they girls are done. Sue pinned my hair up in a loose up do so the curls still hang down. Cassie did and blue Smokey eye look and some nude lipstick. Cindy did a dark blue polish with some crown designs on my index fingers. “Thank you ladies.” They helped me put my dress on. It was form fitting and the end flared out. Since I’ve never liked wearing ball gowns my uncle made an exception for me so I could be comfortable. As long as it formal.

As I was getting my dressed zipped the rest of the way everyone started tearing up. “ Don’t cry, y’all are going to make me cry and Cassie will kick my ass if y’all make me mess up her master piece.” We all laughed and I helped everyone else get ready. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. “Who is it?” Asked Sue. “It’s Charles, may I come in?” “Yes, uncle Charles you can come in.” When he walked in he smiled at me and started to tear up. “Your mom and dad would have been so proud of you.” As I hugged my uncle all the girls walked out.

After we let each other go he held out his arm to me. “Ready to become queen?” I smiled and shook my head as I took his arm. We walked down the stairs and I saw the love of my life waiting for me so we could be crowned together. When we made it to the bottom of the stairs my uncle kissed my forehead and handed me over to my mate.

As we knelt down in front of what will be our thrones my uncle started to speak. “Today we recognize the true queen and her mate becoming king along side her. John and Erin do you promise to protect the kingdom? So you promise to serve the kingdom honorably as king and queen?” “ I do.” We said in unison. “Do you promise to help those in need and work together not against each other?” “I do.” We both said again.

“Then by the power passed down to me by the Mood Goddess herself I pronounce you King and queen. You may take you thrones.” As my Aunt and uncle placed our crowns on our heads the crowed roared in excitement. We took our seats for a few minutes. After a few minutes of everyone cheering John stood up to give his speech, which I helped write the night before.

“ I’m glad to see all of you here. I promise as your king that this kingdom will be ruled fairly and justly. Your queen and I will listen when you need us to and we will work together to help solve your problems because if it’s your problem it’s also ours. Thank you for making us full welcome.” As John ended his speech someone started to growl. I searched the crowed to find the culprit. Once I found him I mind linked John. * it’s my ex Ethan he’s the gamma’s son.

John just shook his head at me and I knew he was upset. “I challenge king John to a fight to the death for the right to be king and Queen Erin’s mate.” John stares at Ethan with an evil look. “Challenge excepted, Charles where and when do we do this?” My uncle stepped up to give the rules and the when and where it would take place. “We will do this in the back yard now. This being a fight to the death there is no backing out or using any weapons. One of you must die.” With that everyone moved to the back yard to watch the challenge take place.

I give John one last kiss just in case it is our last one. “Aunt Katie can you take Liam inside. He is still to young for this.” She smiled a sad smile at me and went inside with my son. John looks very angry and ready to prove that he’s meant to be their king.

John’s POV

“Alright boys are you both ready?” I just shake my head letting Charles know I’m ready. A few minutes later Ethan dose the same. As I look behind me I see that Ethan’s dad the gamma is standing with Erin making sure she is okay. That right there let’s me know that he is loyal to me and her. “The challenge may start may the best fighter win. Good luck to you both.” With those words Ethan and I started circling each other. I’m waiting to see if he strikes first. So to get him to come at me I act like I’m going to jump his way.

He starts charging at me. I dodge his hit and grab his hind leg. I hear a snap and know that I broke it. He whimpers in pain but doesn’t stay down. As the fight continues he takes me down when I get distracted hearing Liam cry inside. Ethan pins me down and claws really deep in my stomach. I know I’m bleeding heavily and need to end this fight. As he charges at me this next time I shift just in time to grab his neck with my teeth. I feel him struggling to get loose but I don’t release him until I hear a snap. His body falls limp I shift back and fall to my knees.

I end up laying down feeling light headed and my vision being blurry. I hear Erin scream and run to me. She picks my head up and leans over me holding me close. Right before everything goes dark I feel Erin kiss me.
