Under a full moon

"Wake up Kendra, wake up", a female voice kept saying as I felt a  continuous  light shake on my arms, I slowly opened my eyes to see Mrs Johnson staring at me, her brown eyes fixed on me as I slowly rose up. " You'll be late again, come downstairs and have breakfast" Mrs. Johnson said as she exited my room. The Johnson  had adopted me after I lost my parents in a house fire, I was only 5 at the time,I lived with them ever since as they didn't have kids of their own. it's been 14 years since they took me in, i've grown to love them since then, although not enough to help forget my parents, I never even got to know them . I looked around my room and laid back on the bed again " ughh, school again...the only reason that place feels a little less annoying is cause I get to see my friends especially my bestie, Autumn". Autumn and I have been besties since the 4th grade after she stopped a group of jerks from picking on me we clicked ever since, she's 19 same age as I am but slightly a foot taller than me but I'll be taller than her soon. The winter break was 4 months long and I haven't seen Autumn all through it as her family went on a vacation to Kansas but the break is over now and I get to see my better half again. I slowly got up and made my way to the washroom, I stared at mirror my amber eyes scanning my body through the mirror " i definitely added a few pounds during the break"I smirked as I slowly observed my body, I had definitely gotten a bit fatter I admit, I now look more thick than I was before not enough to label me fat tho, my hair was a mess, extending towards my back, its light brown soft texture looked dull from being unkept, I stood 6 feet tall and my skin seemed a little darker from its usual fair tone.I took a quick bath, put on a black jeans and white sweater and then rushed down the stairs. Mr Johnson was already at the table having breakfast "good morning Dad", he nodded his head in reply. Mr Johnson isn't the chatty type, He's fair skinned and chubby, he's 35 and quite short, he He's a doctor- well at least that's what he likes to think, he's actually a health worker at the Fortsmith hospital, he does help to save lives, so I guess that counts as being a doctor. Mrs. johnson though is quite the chatter boss, haven't seen a person as lively as she is, she always seem to be happy.She's much taller than Mr.Johnson with a slim physique and tanned skin, she's 32. Mrs. Johnson works at the Ministry, not really sure what her job entails, I always seemed too lazy to listen to all the details. I rushed my breakfast and dumped the dishes in the kitchen sink, i ran up the stairs and picked up my bags from my room and raced out through the kitchen door as I head out for school. The street was weirdly empty this morning, not a single soul in sight as I walked down the sidewalk to school, a residential street with old mismatched houses side by side on one side of the street and dense forest on the other side . I walked past houses slowly approaching my best friend's house, I could make out a figure in front of her house waving at me, I smiled as I got closer and picked up my pace as i ran towards the figure. I could now make out the long black hair, her skin seemed even fairer than i remembered, her bright blue eyes and slim physique, she wore a jean and blue coloured sweat jacket that matched her eyes perfectly. I launched at her sending both of us tumbling, we landed in the garden in her front yard, we laid there and laughed for a while, "I thought the school break would have made you a little less crazy, but you seem to have discovered a whole new level of crazy" Autumn said smiling at me, I kept laughing then I stood up and helped her up, I smiled and stared at her not saying a word." You hit your head to hard during the fall or what, why you so silent all of a sudden" Autumn asked as she tried to shake off leaves and branches of her clothes, I pulled her in and hugged her " I missed you" I finally said. "okay, okay I get I was gone to long but you don't have to punish me by choking me to death"Autumn protested, I didn't realize I was hugging her that hard, I slowly released her and then smiled at her with my lips spread wide, "weirdo" autumn commented, she picked up her back from the garden, it fell off her I launched at her, she took out her phone and glanced at it with her eyes wide opened"s**t we're gonna be late" Autumn said as she pulled my hands and raced towards school, I tried to keep up with her pace as she pulled me. we finally got to school and in time too, I was panting from all the running, Autumn didn't seem tired at all, she gave me a triumphant glare"boy, you really let yourself go" shut up I said trying to catch my breath. Autumn shifted her gaze away from me and stared towards a guy and a girl approaching us, she waved at them " sup guys?", Anna and Drex waved back  at her " been a while since I saw you crazy duo" Drex said. Drex is a close friend,  he stands a foot taller than Autumn, he's a year younger than both I and Autumn, Drex is 18. Autumn and I met Drex at the 8th grade at a music class, he and Anna where working on a project and we had to collaborate with them, after the project we quickly became close friends. He wore a grey joggers with a red T-shirt, he's eyes are dark brown, his dark brown hair compliments his dark skin, he has  well defined muscles to fit his height. Anna is the shortest of the crew, standing at 5 feet 11 inches tall, with long blonde hair and green eyes, she was fat but could make it work with any dress and you could tell by the blue dress with floral designs she had on which looked gorgeous. As Drex and Anna got to where we stood and was about starting a conversation I quickly interrupted them "hey, I know we have a lot of catching up to do but we can get to all this later, we need to make it into the school before its too la..."I was cut short by the bell  "...and we're late". We hurried into the school heading for our lockers when Autumn bumped into a guy and fell, As I stopped in my tracks and tried to go help her, the guy held out his  hand to help her. Autumn was about to say something to him but suddenly became numb when she stared into his face, he had silvery grey eyes the kind that reminds you of a full moon when you stare into them, his hair jet black , perfectly outlined jaw, he was as tall as Drex maybe a few inches shorter but it didn't matter, he looked dashing in his brown leather jacket and his skinny jeans, he was quite muscular and had a perfect smile. Autumn sat on the ground speechless, the guy then took her hands and helped her up " sorry about that I didn't see you there, I'm Derrek by the way" he said while still holding autumn hands. Autumn just stared at him looking lost. "OK..." Derrek said with a puzzled expression as he let go of Autumn's hand and headed towards the school. I came up to Autumn and shook her by her arms "hey snap out of it" Autumn stood still as I shook her, her head moving back and forth as I tried to bring her back to reality, she looked dazed, her cheeks all red" I think I'm in love" she said, " you're nuts, we don't have time for this"I commented, Autumn then finally woke from her trance and stared at Derrek with awe as he made his way towards the school building "who was he" I  shifted my gaze towards the school building" I don't know, I've never seen him before"
