• sobbing in the storm • ERIK Isabel sits in the backseat quietly. She has not said a word since I bailed her out. She stares out the window, probably lost in her own thoughts. I don't know what to tell her. I don't know how to start a conversation. I have a lot to tell her but I don't know where to start. Should I tell her that I know the truth about our baby? That I know Harvey hurt her? That I know her brother is Alex? "Where are you taking me?" She asks quietly. "I was thinking of taking you to your house but I heard you're living with Harvey's first wife and two sons. I'm sure there's a lot of tension. That doesn't sound like a conducive environment for you and the baby." I pause for a brief moment, a little nervous of what I'm about to say next. "I'm taking you to my house."
