“From the dust we were formed and to the dust we will return.” Were the words Mr Geoffrey said to my sisters grave. Four men pulled her coffin into the 4ft pit.
We were all dressed in black gowns, mostly with sad gestures written all over our faces. The men wore black suit and white inner shirt which however showed their odd outlooks.
My eyes were blurred out from my tears that I found it hard to look through the rainy weather. I stood still without an umbrella on, but ma’am jasmine kept placing the umbrella over the head of mine.
“I can’t let her go now.” I kept crying out the pupil of my eyes.“I have many more things to show you.”I said as Ma’am jasmine pulled me into her black skinny dress.
As we stood under the weather that stormed rain, four Jeeps parked right from the outskirt of the graveyard. Men with glasses and black dress walked out their black car. They were fourteen in number as my eye counted in the drowsy rainfall.
“Sorry for your loss, she was one of our greatest agents and beloved partner.” They said as they all walked over to us. I wasn’t related to the deceased anyway, I was just an adopted daughter of hers. She wasn’t married and she was just in her late twenty-nine. As I grew with her, I regarded her as my beloved sister but not my mother because she was never that to me but a protective sister which I saw her as.
Everyone in attendance were greeted except me, because I wasn’t really related to her. After the whole pleasantries, they stood with their hands crossed in their frontal lower belt. With their head bent low, they perform their last gratitude.
As her grave started closing with sand, the officers shot their guns into the sky. “Goodbye agent Lu.”
The whole ceremony was over and the whole attendance started dispatching little by little.
“How did she die?” I held the hands of one of the head officer who I mostly saw with my sister. He gave me one shocking look as my hand held firmly into his, he smirked as he looked over to whoever was staring at us.
As slowly as his smiles faded away, he moved my hands away from his.
“It’s confidential, little girl.” He said holding my right arm and rubbed the surface.
“Please tell me. Am in my early twenties anyway. Please don’t hide anything from me.” I begged but ma’am jasmine pulled me away from the officer.
“Pardon my nieces behavior.” Ma’am jasmine said with her rouged eye.
“Not a problem ma’am. Don’t worry we’ll find a way to catch the culprit. We know the culprit, but it’s just difficult to pin him down and call him to custody.” He lamented to ma’am jasmine but I just kept my eye watery as that was the only thing I could do. I couldn’t let her go right now. I had to revenge for her death.
“Tell me his name.” I retorted immensely as my words interrupted their conversation. The officer looked at me confused.“I mean the culprits name.” I confirmed my words.
