“You know I can’t do that darling.” The officer said.“if you need anything, here’s my card.”he dispenses one of his boxy shaped card with his name as the label.

I collected it and walked out immediately under the cold rainy weather.

“Sorry once again.” Ma’am jasmine apologized and tagged along with me.“Sweetie wait up”.

When I got home, all I could do was to stare blankly at the ceiling right above me, in my hard structure bed, I slept in for a week.

“Hey, you can’t stay like this forever. You have to move on and do something. Lu would have never wanted this for you.” Ma’am jasmine would always say when she walked into my room and stared at my untouched food.

Seconds turned into Minutes as minutes turned into hours as the days rolled by. Tuesday 2023 was the day I Finally stood up, after countless struggles from the bed.

I tried standing but I had no strength to do so. I was as weak as how a log would lay on the ground. Something was obviously wrong with my body as the pain in my stomach increased. I couldn’t control myself.

I squeezed my self into my blanket, and pressed my tummy as hard as my hand could feel my intestines.

“What’s wrong.?” Jasmine asked, she was ma’am jasmine daughter.

Yeah, you must have noticed in how her mother was called.

She pecked my blankets with her hands and I withdrew it back to cover my body.

“Stop.” I mouthed under my breath.

“Are you sure you can keep up with that attitude?” With concern she asked me and I stood up immediately to face her.

“Uh, Jessy your bleeding. Mum Jessy is bleeding.” She cries out and her mother came in running. Like she said, I was bleeding from my nose. The pain I felt in my tummy passed me out, finally.

When my eyes opened later. I was at the hospital, plugged to external attachments. From my veins to my nose, I found my self connected to equipments.

“Ohh, your awake.” Jasmine who sat beside me with her ear plugged, screamed to my face. “Is there anyone there? She’s awake.” She screamed out of my room.

“Calm down. Am not going to die anytime soon.”I mourned to the ears of jasmine.

“Mm, did you say something?” She plugged out the earpiece that covered her ear, I just shake my head saying‘it’s noting’.

The automatic movable door opened as ma’am jasmine and the doctor stood befall it. The male doctor walked before ma’am jasmine came after.

“How are you doing?” The doctor asked as he placed his equipment on my chest. After counter readings, he removed it and checked my eye with his torch. Without listening to my reply he ended it. “Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Just keep taking the medicines that I’ll prescribe to you.” After speaking he paved way.

Ma’am jasmine jumped on me. I know she would have wanted to kill her self If i didn’t wake up.

“Thank God your alright. I didn’t know what I’ll would have done.”

“I wouldn’t have let you. She put this on her self, now she has ulcer.” Jasmine interrupted with something more shocking.

What.!, I have ulcer.
