He ran out of the restaurant after I abided to his proposal. He smiled to my face that my eyes stole a little suspense from his looks. As he ran out of the restaurant with his jacket on his hands, one of his small notes fell off. I picked it up and wanted to call for him, but he was lost from my site. As I raised my body up to his chair, the owner stared suspicious at me. I felt embarrassed no doubt. I rubbed my hips and turned away from his table back to my sit. I wasn’t still comfortable that I noticed the owners glance rubbing me on my chair. I had to leave also. I walked out of the restaurant and bent a little to tie my shoelaces properly before walking away. That night, I had his business card way above my face. As my legs crossed over each other on the bed, I placed the card in my purse and another card fell out of the purse. I bent low to pick the purse from the ground as I remembered who’s card was this. The detective from my sisters burial. I remembered how he asks me to call him if I need help. I didn’t anyway but who knows, I might be in need of him soon enough. I placed the card back in my card and stared over to jasmine bed not too far from mine. In the dark but little lighted room, I looked at how jasmine bounced her head to whatever she was listening to. She was just another sight to stare at. I had to sleep, because tomorrow was another day for me to find a new job. Who knows some place that I could be free a little bit from stress and to while away my time. The morning c**k screamed through my very window. My alarm ranged at its punctual time. It was its daily routine. I stacked my palm on and walked right into the bathroom to shower faster. As I walked back into the room, ma’am jasmine struggled with her daughter, who tirelessly struggled to stand from her bed. “It’s time to go to school, Jasmine.” She yelled at jasmine but she still held her bed firmly as she wasn’t satisfied yet. “I want to sleep a little. Please I didn’t get to sleep long last night.” She pleaded as he eye squeezed with its lid closed. “No, you can’t. Wake up!!” She yelled as they both struggled pulling each other on the bed. I was done with my dress and the light makeup that I was slightly used to. walking into the kitchen, Jasmine annoyingly pushes me away from her path. “Watch it,” She screamed into my ear and I jolted as I held firmly to the cup of tea I had in my hand. I had noting to say, but truth to be told. I was pissed. Living with them was much worst. I was about walking out of the door when jasmine screamed my name once more. “Jessy!!, did you use my comb?” I was about sipping the whole hot tea in one gulp when I threw up everything on the person outside the door. It was an old man who didn’t look that old enough but he was familiar to me. We had met once before. “Am soo sorry sir.” I begged after spitting all the tea on his face.
