Two months later
Two months was enough time to change
everything around Alessandro Romano.
Even if he was unaware and was taking
longer sleep in a coma, his empire was
crumbling down.
Though the media was not informed about
the news and everything seem smooth inside
Romano industries but the CEO himself was
on the verge of losing his place. All because
of Ileana Romano, step-mother of Alessandro
Romano. Why? Greed to be in the power
even against the cost of sabotaging her son,
step-son.
Every person loyal to Alessandro was getting
kicked out and replaced by Ileana's feet
licking puppies. Even Darren had notice
of replacement in his hand. Should he be
surprised? No. He was not surprised by the
moves Ileana took as it was her ultimate
chance to be in power.
Now her final move was to stop life-support
given to Alessandro. Early in the morning
she rushed to the hospital to proceed with
her final move. Never in the span of two
months had she visited Alessandro in the
hospital. Even though she kept everything
updated, she was only waiting for the news
of her step-son's death. But the removal of
life-support could make her wish come true
and she was there to make it happen.
She demanded the hospital authority to
stop the life-support of her son. She ordered
the hospital management to obey her as
the patient's mother and new owner of the
hospital. But the procedure took long enough
that it was informed to Darren and Bianca.
They were the guardian of Alessandro on his
death bed.
Soon Darren rushed inside the doctor's room
and demanded to adjourn the step but could
not undo it. On the other hand Bianca was
all tears holding Alessandro's hand. She was
wrecked because of the news. She could not
comprehend the idea. She knew he was the
major investor of the hospital so why was
not he being cured? She had her hopes. He
had even moved his little finger once, weeks
ago. Then why now?
"I have to save you." She whispered to him.
She could not let him go. Not now when she
had attachments toward him. Unknown
but real even if it had to be a feeling of
humanitarian.
"We will." Darren replied her putting his
hand on her shoulder to encourage her.
"What can we do?" She sobbed.
"I don't know." Darren sighed.
"Can't we shift him to any other hospital
where he can still get life-support." Bianca
proposed.
"Only if we can escape him from here. His
step-mother is after his wealth and she
wants him dead. So, how will we take him out of this without risking his life?" Darren questioned. "I know most of the people here. The incharge at mortuary can help us find a body double and show his life-support being taken off and finally escape him out at night but we have to elongate time till night." Blanca suggested. "I will look for something." Darren informed and rushed out of the room.
"You will live and we will make it possible."
Bianca squeezed Alessandro's hand.
Later that night everything was done
according to the plan, one side Ileana was
happy to know Alessandro was no more
a threat to her, on the other side Bianca
and Darren took Alessandro to the public
hospital to regulate his life-support with the
help of office staff. Even Dr.Ethan shut his
mouth and informed fleana that his son was
no more and ready to be buried.
No, Ileana did not bother picking her
step-son's dead body from the hospital as
she was in seventh heaven celebrating her
victory. Little did she know it was temporary,
Two months later the transfer of Alessandro to public hospital and four
months later in total from Alessandro's major accident "Any improvement?" Bianca asked Dr.Mark with hopeful eyes.
"He is. His brain is responding to our
treatment and is slowly functioning. Hope
we can soon remove his life-support."
Dr.Mark consoled her.
"Thank you doctor." Bianca thanked him.
Just then Darren entered the room with lose
tie and ruffled hair. It was his fifth interview
this year and to his luck he was hopeless
about it too.
After the replacement of major staff and
board members in the Romano industries
recession had bite everyone's back. That
included Darren. He was Alessandro's right
hand and hiring him would bring threat to
the company. Therefore everyone played fair
and did not bother hiring him.
With this the financial burden of
Alessandro's hospital went on to Bianca
and she did not complain that. She just
had to shift back from her 1BK room to the
orphanage and her savings for little Zina
was nil that month.
"Any luck?" Bianca asked to which Darren
shook his head.
"I don't think they will call." Darren sighed.
"Don't lose hope, be positive." Bianca patted
his shoulder.
"So what did the doctor say about him?"
Darren asked Bianca.
"He is improving rapidly and does not need
life-support," Bianca answered.
"Well that is good news after such a long
time." Darren chuckled making Bianca smile.
"He has grown a lot of beard, do you think he
needs shaving?" Blanca asked Darren for his
advice.
"Sure but he likes it long."
"I don't." Bianca complained.
"Do as you wish, he owes you that much."
Darren laughed making Bianca blush.
"I will go buy a razor for him, do you want anything to eat?" Bianca asked Darren but he shook his head. When Bianca walked out of the room Darren watched Alessandro thinking how such ruthless beast became so lucky that he had an angel by his side caring day and night, supporting him physically and financially. Even he was helpless. He had his own family
to feed, his wife, daughter and one more in a
row to pop-up four months later.
"Wake-up bastard, she is the one for you.
Release her from the burden and make her
yours," Darren whispered.
Just then Alessandro flicked his eyes open.
"Alessandro," Darren muttered in surprise.
