CHAPTER 4
DEAN'S POV
It's been 3 days, and this task isn't as easy as the prince described.
I thought I was returning he's sister, not this trouble making i***t.
"Hey! When can we have a break, my brain is going to explode from boredom." The Princess whined, but I only rolled my eyes.
"Shut up, and maybe you won't be so bored." I replied, not in the mood for her whining.
"That doesn't even make sense." She grumbled under her breath, which I only smirked at.
But that smirk didn't last when this little thing started poking me.
"Stop." I gritted out through clench teeth, not having the patience within me right now.
I only heard her giggle before she started to poke me again, and again, and again!
"Enough, already!" I snapped as I pulled the reins on Axel. Making us all halt as I glared furiously at the Princess.
"Finally." She spoke up with a bright smile.
That's when I realised my fault when she jumped off and legged it.
"You got to be kidding me." I grumbled under my breath.
I then chased after her on Axel, as we rode to catch her.
I put my hand out and scooped her up, putting her in front of me this time.
"See, wasn't that fun?" She asked with a bright smile, I only rolled my eyes and kept my right arm on the reins while my left was around her waist firmly.
"You're always so grumpy." She complained, but I ignored it. Knowing what will happen if I actually took her words into consideration.
"Can we at least set camp up early tonight, I'm too bored and tired to keep going." The Princess whined.
This must be the first time today she actually said something I could understand.
AMELIA'S POV
He still hasn't let me know what he plans to do with me, but for some odd reason I don't think it's too bad.
I mean, I should be on alert, but I'm not.
I don't know, it's like my instincts are not letting stress over this situation as much as I should.
"Here." He spoke up after an hour of me just talking to myself.
I smiled brightly as I got off the horse, examining the scenery for anything interesting. While Mr grumpy pants was setting up camp for us, again.
I started to walked around the area, close to our campsite though.
When I looked over he was still setting things up and getting ready for supper.
I looked over to he's horse. I don't know if I was interested or bored but I walked over to the horse.
The horse glared at me, which didn't take me by surprise seeing who he's owner was.
I then offered the horse a small smile, trying reassure him I wasn't a threat.
I gently reached my hand out to pat the horse, and shockingly the horse let me.
"He's name is Axel." Dean explained as he came and patted the horse from behind me.
"He's beautiful." I commented as we just stood there, admiring the dark furred animal before us.
"He was a wild horse, until I tamed him. After that we became like brothers." He said out of nowhere.
I turned my head to face him, surprised he was opening up to me. Seeing, he was always wore a grumpy expression on he's face.
"You became brothers?" I asked with a light smirk on the corner of my lips.
He glared at me as he turned around, trying to hold back he's now flustered face.
I only chuckled lightly as I continued to pat Axel.
"I have a brother, I mean. I had a brother." I spoke as I kept my gaze on Axel, but also keeping my words firm.
"He was kind, and loving. Everyone was blessed to know him, to meet him. But I was the most blessed of them all." I smiled a sad smile, remembering the little boy.
"For I was he's sister." I looked down this time, feeling like my tears were going to start from the subject.
I hated that the most. I hated that every memory of him triggered me to feel sad, when in all honesty I wanted to feel happy. To hear he's name and smile, to remember my brother and laugh with joy
of all the memories we shared.
But instead I felt upset.
That's what I hated the most.
"Amelia." Dean said softly as I felt he's hand on my shoulder.
I only looked up to meet he's gaze with a wide grin.
"But he's gone now, he's been missing for years. I just hope he's happy, where ever he is out there. Even if that place is not on Earth." I replied, trying to ease the upsetting tension with a bright smile.
Dean only nodded as I walked away and went near the fire he made for us.
He handed me a tin of food with a spoon. I smiled and thanked him as I started to eat my supper.
"You know, that was the first time you called me by my name." I spoke up after what felt like years of pure peace and quiet, besides the casual birds and animals you hear every now and then.
Dean looked taken back as he hid he's flustered expression with a firm glare.
I only chuckled, making he's glare harden.
"You should call me by my name more often." I smiled.
