Chapter Three

CHAPTER 3 "We'll camp here for the night, and leave at sunsrise." Dean spoke up as he tied he's horse to a nearby tree. I only walked around the area, looking at the scenery. If I still wanted to escape and return home. If there was still even a home after the attack. Right now, I needed to figure something out. Maybe I can escape when he falls asleep? Nah, from he's aurora I'd confidently say he's a light sleeper. Maybe distract him then run off? No, that won't work either. Seeing that I already tried that. Or- "I'm going near the river to freshen up. Don't go anywhere." He's eyes held a serious cold glare. I only nodded, not wanting to anger him anymore then he is naturally. I guess this is my chance. I couldn't help but smile from this blessing before me. It was only 30 minutes till dark. If I wanted to move, I needed to move now. I was about to go, until I saw he's horse. Hmm... DEAN'S POV I don't know why I agreed to this, but he's highness pays good. I couldn't disagree and he knew that. The bastard. I laid soaked under the water for a while before I decided to get out. Princess Amelia probably wants to freshen up, so I should get out before it gets dark. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my lower waist as I walked to our campsite. Pushing my wet hair out of my face, I looked up. Only to feel my anger boil with rage. I can't even leave this i***t for 10 minutes without her causing trouble! I put on my pants as I quickly examined the campsite. Her footsteps led her to my horse, Axel. But he's still here. I start to examine Axel, searching for anything out of place. Dagger missing, blanket missing, and a bit of food missing. Besides that there's nothing out of place. I start to pat Axel, trying to calm him from he's uneasy breathing. He was the fastest horse and he's strength only complimented him more. I grabbed my sword that I kept hidden, knowing that this situation would come sooner or later. "Stay here, boy. And watch over the camp." I spoke gently as I patted Axel. I then started my hunting for this i***t. I swear if my pay gets deducted because she hurt herself, I'm going to be pissed. ~10 minutes later~ I started to track her footsteps. I couldn't help but shake my head and chuckle in amusement. Did she really think she could escape a tracker from leaving tracks? That's like a gift for hunters. I halted my steps when I started to hear loud conversations in the woods. I saw another campsite, but didn't move until I studied everything fully from observing the scene. There was 2 men with the horses, probably locals from a near village. I tilted my head to see them laughing, having a drink with each other. That's when I tried to pick up what they were saying. "Can you believe it, it really is our day." The first man explained with a bright slurred smile. "Just think, a beauty like her on the black market would be worth pounds of gold." The second man cheered with joy. I didn't know I was gritting my teeth until I realised my hold on my sword. I looked down and saw my knuckles coming back from white, but my main priority was getting this idiot out of trouble, again. I walked out of my hiding spot, revealing myself to these 2 idiots. "Hey!" One of them said loudly, trying to be intimidating. I only pretended he didn't exist as I kept walking through he's campsite. I saw the first man pull out he's sword, aiming it in front of him. As a shield from me. I only chuckled darkly as I finally made eye contact with the i***t. "You have something of mine." I spoke up coldly, with a grim smirk playing on my lips. "f**k off, kid! Or you'll regret it!" The second man shouted, but I only snapped my gaze to him. Making him step back in shock. "Give her willingly, or not. Either way she's leaving with me." "Go to hell! The slut is ours!" The yelled as the both charged at me. I swiftly dodged them and gracefully kept dodging them. I then stabbed the first man in the stomach, as I flicked the blood off my sword to the dirt. The second man looked shocked, but more angered as he charged at me with everything. But I only dodged him, stepping out of the way and stabbing him in the back. "She's mine." I whispered coldly behind the man's ear. I then pulled the sword out and flicked the blood once again to the dirt. I put the sword back on my hip. Only now I started feeling the cold air, but it was impossible not feel the cold night air when I forgot to put on a shirt. I walked over towards their tents, only to see a woman I've never seen. They were right, she was a slut. I almost gagged but I ended up freeing her. She was a mistress, anyone can see that. And smell it. "Thank you for saving me." She said rubbing my arm. Was she trying to be seductive? "I heard what you said, and I'm all yours. Like you said to those men." I only shrugged her off as I felt angered that it wasn't the Princesses. "Where are you going? You can't leave me!" The woman shouted, I only turned around and gave a chilling smirk. "Would you rather me kill you?" I asked coldly, which made her shrink back as she shut her mouth close. I started to walk around, only to see a familiar dress. I smirked knowing this had to be Princesses Amelia. I crept up behind her, not too close but enough to keep my gaze on her if something happened. She was huddling behind a bush near a track, where most travellers road their horses. I saw her with her small dagger and blanket wrapped to cover her face, I guess she was smart enough to not cause too much attention to her. I decided it was getting too dark, and this game had to stop now. I needed my rest for tomorrows travel. "What do you think you're doing." I whispered behind her neck, making her snap her head to my direction with fear in her eyes. "Hi, Dean." She gave a sheepish smile as she tried to not make it look like she was escaping a few seconds ago. "Let's go." I grabbed her forearm pulling her up, as I dragged her along behind me. I heard her groan in pain, making me tilt my head over my shoulder. Looking behind me, I finally saw that she had fresh cuts on her legs. "Can we please slow down?" She asked timidly, as if her energy was being drained from her. I only rolled my eyes and picked her, bridal style. Holding her firmly so she won't fall nor try and run. I felt her gaze on me, but I ignored it. Not wanting to entertain her, I kept my focus on returning back to camp. I felt Princess Amelia snuggle into my warm chest, as sleep consumed her. I looked down, looking at how gentle and pure she was. A small smile played on my lips that I didn't even realise yet. But when I realised I was admiring her, I shook her off and carried her on my shoulder. "Hey! What the heck!" She groaned with displeasure, but I only smirk in triumph not caring what this little thing thought.
