Given his getup and the way he was acting, Calvin was drawing more attention in the hotel lobby than he probably would have done if he had been less careful. Luckily, it was still quite early in the morning. There were only a few people around, and no one else seemed to be sticking out suspiciously like he was. But even if his mother had really gotten someone to watch out for him here, it was more likely than not that she had spent the rest of yesterday drinking, which meant she’d still be dead asleep at that hour.
