Jade's POV
When Bela finished, I could only stare at him. I knew my brother had taken after our father. This was insane. Mom had taught us that the mate bond was sacred beyond all other bonds. Even the bonds of family. Dad had other ideas, but I know mom would have hated seeing him act like that. For the first time since I left, knowing that my parents were dead, I was glad that the rogues had come. Everything dad put mom through, this would have definitely killed her had she survived.
It was a lot to take in, and I really didn't know how to process it. Truth be told, I didn't want to think about it at this moment. I wanted to go back to bed. I was going to have another long day. These double shifts were going to be the death of me. My babies were worth it though.
