On the other hand, Aurora was trying to draw a necklace design inspired by Asian art.
"It's a beautiful design," Susan said, hovering over her shoulder. Aurora shrugged her shoulders
"I guess! Emily needed it more than us, Susie..." she started but her cell phone rang which stopped Aurora from talking further. It was Gabriel, she didn't wait and accepted the call immediately.
"Hey Gabe, you came back?" She asked him, her mood lifting in excitement.
"Yes, Aurora, can we meet?" He asked, Aurora agreed almost immediately. Butterflies were dancing in her belly over excitement, she was meeting Gabriel after two days. She ran to her room to dress up and after two hours of searching her closet, she was able to choose a beautiful dress.
"Where are you going, Aurora?" Susan asked entering her room and watching her all dressed up.
"To meet Gabe, I will be late. Take care of Emily, bye," Aurora didn't wait anymore and left to meet the man whose name alone brought a smile to her face.
When Aurora reached the restaurant Gabriel was waiting for her at the door of it. Aurora smiled seeing him, Gabriel smiled too, pulling her in his arms. "As always, you look beautiful, Aurora."
"I know, I am just perfect," she said teasingly but one could sense the feeling of pride in her tone. "I have cooked your favourite dishes, shall we?" He asked, offering his elbow to her.
Aurora held it with both her hands and they entered the empty restaurant. "Gabe, there is no one here," she asked with a frown.
"Yes, because I wanted to spend some private time with you. Just you and me," he answered, pulling the chair for her to sit. Once Aurora settled, Gabriel took his chair and just like every other time they ended up holding an easy conversation. But today, Aurora could sense that something was making him uneasy and she couldn't help but ask him about it.
"Gabe? Is everything alright with you?"
Gabriel sighed. "No and yes."
His answer made her scowl. "I don't understand, Gabe."
"I don't know how to say this but I guess, nothing can help me if I don't," he held her hand in a soft grip. "Aurora, I know what I am about to say might change everything between us but I couldn't stop myself anymore. I like you, I have fallen in love with you. Since we met all I am thinking about is you. I know you are Aurora Kings, a multi-billionaire's daughter and I am nothing but a small restaurant owner. I have no right to feel like this for you but I couldn't stop my heart from falling for you. I love you, Aurora Kings."
Aurora forgot to breathe while he was speaking. She stared into his eyes, her heart beating faster than normal and her body felt so light as if she was flying in the air. She was attracted to him the moment her eyes went to his face. His blue eyes hypnotised her.
"Aurora, if you don't feel the same way for me then..."
"No!"
Gabriel froze. "No?"
Aurora's eyes broadened. "No, I mean yes!"
"Yea or No!" He asked, his thumb moving on her hand making her stomach jittery.
"Yes! Yes, Gabe, I love you." She cried, got up and hugged him tightly. It was one of the happiest days of her life.
"I love you so much, Aurora..." he whispered, holding her face in his hand.
"I love you." He said and placed his lips on Aurora' soft lips and kissed her.
Her toes curled in excitement, it felt like hundreds of crackers were burning in the sky.
Today, a new journey started in her life and she hope the journey turned out as beautiful as wished it to be but there was this small voice in the back of my mind which was constantly bugging me that something bad was about to happen.
She just prayed to God that nothing like that would happen.
"What do you mean you said yes?" Susan asked with a frown on her face. "How long have you known him?" Aurora sighed. "I like him, Susan and it doesn't matter for how long I've known him, what matters is that I love him now. Anyways, where is Emily?"
"Where else, working on the laptop. I don't understand her mood. One day she is chill and cool, the next day she is focused on work as if she won't get up tomorrow."
Aurora thinned her lips. "We both know why that is, let her work. I am going to sleep, I have a long day tomorrow," she air-kissed her friend and led her to drift into her dream world.
Ethan eyed the man in front of him. His nose flared in anger, his eyes drifted to Thomas who picked the letter from the plastic bag.
"Blood inked," he informed Ethan who gave him a curt nod, telling him to read
it.
"If you can kill my men, I can kill yours with double creativity. The proof of it is in this bag. I know how badly you want to kill me, Ethan but unlike you, I have learned the art of being patient. You killed my brother brutally and now you will face the consequences of it. I will give you a death so creative that people will remember it and after your death, I will.." Thomas stopped, placed at Ethan whose face turned dark hearing the words of the letter.
"What?" He asked Thomas. "Finish the
letter, Thomas."
"Ethan..."
Ethan's brows cleared up. "Finish the letter, Thomas," he ordered.
Thomas gulped before reading the rest of the letter. "...make that daughter of yours my b***h!"
