He's Jealous

"What did you just say to Maxine?" "What happened?" Miggy asked with curiosity.

"Nothing, just mind your own freaking business!" Topher responded as he felt annoyed, putting his hand behind his head and putting his feet above the broken desk while keeping both eyes closed.

"You guys are weird." "By the way, I have something to tell you!" Miggy excitedly said

"What is it?" Topher asked.

"Mom called me just a while ago and said that we were going back to Canada to stay there or maybe go on a vacation with mom," Miggy said.

"Then go; I will stay here," Topher said while keeping his eyes closed and chilling.

"Wait what? Why? is it because of Maxine isn't? "Dude, she's clearly avoiding us; she didn't want to be with her friends again, so what's the point?" Miggy said.

"You know if you want to go, then go; no one is stopping you; but me, I will stay." "End of discussion." Topher said this angrily while slowly standing and walking towards Miggy, then suddenly left after he finished his words.

At the cafeteria, Maxine was about to enjoy her meal when suddenly Topher sat beside her and started to bother her.

"Hi, can I join you?" Topher asked.

But Maxine didn't even respond; she just gave Topher a sullen look and continued to eat her meal.

"So you are now deaf, huh?" "Alright," Topher awkwardly and sarcastically said.

But Maxine didn't even waste her time talking to Topher.

"You don't have any friends here, do you?" Well, me too. You know, let's just be friends again and enjoy the whole school year. So what are your plans today? Have you bought new clothes? "Maybe we should go shopping after class, but don't worry, it's on me." Topher said as she tried to annoy Maxine,

"So you're really going to keep silent, huh?" fine I can talk all day, and my plan is to annoy you, cutie-patootie."

But Maxine still didn't give him any attention; instead, she slowly stood from her seat while holding her meal and started to walk away from Topher.

Maxine decided to eat in the girl's restroom to avoid Topher, but she suddenly heard some girls talking about Topher.

"Yes, I mean, he's hot," the random girl said.

"Yes, I know. I'd rather die just to sleep with him," another random girl said.

"But have you heard about this random girl that is enrolled here as a scholar, like she was always going around with him, oh my gosh, my Topher baby?"

"She maybe uses love potions on Topher; now my baby is crazy for her."

"What is her name again?"

"I think her name is Maxine; it sounds cheap; nevermind let's go, girl!"

After hearing that, Maxine got worried about her peace.

After Maxine finish her meal at the restroom, she immediately go outside from the restroom as soon as possible, she walking fast as she felt nervous like she was hiding from someone, she straight go to the rooftop, while climbing the stairs, she thought maybe Topher would be there, so after entering the rooftop, she slowly opened the rooftop's door and checked if Topher was there. After seeing no sign of Topher, she breathed freely and entered the rooftop confidently.

But suddenly she heard someone whispering near her ears...

"There you are!" Topher whispered.

Maxine got surprised and shocked as she turned around and found Topher behind him, and she almost fell from the rooftop, thankfully there is a parapet wall.

Maxine recently realized that she was bending backwards, and Topher was walking slowly towards her. He put his hands at about the parapet wall while facing Maxine, slowly brought his face closer to Maxine's face, and said,

"Are you really not going to forgive me?" He whispered and almost kissed Maxine when suddenly she spoke.

"You don't deserve my forgiveness, and don't you ever plan to flirt with me; you are not my type; Chase is my type." Maxine said, and after her words, she smirked.

Topher suddenly removed her hands from the wall while having a puzzled face.

"Who's Chase? "Is he your boyfriend?" Topher asked out of curiosity and feeling annoyed.

"Why would I tell you?" Maxine responded as she tried to annoy Topher, and she was about to leave when suddenly Topher held her hand, pulled her into him, and kissed her.

The world stopped for a bit, Maxine got shocked, and she realized that Topher had soft lips and had the smell of a baby. and immediately push Topher away.

"What is wrong with you?" Maxine shouted with anger and left.

After she closed the door, she stopped and touched her lips as she processed everything that had happened. The kiss has not yet sunk into her mind.

"What?" "He kissed you?!" Calli responded as she got shocked and alarmed by what Topher did.

"Shut up! the neighbors could hear you! " And yes, you heard it right, but I have one problem. "I told Topher that Chase is my type, and he thinks that Chase is my boyfriend, like he looks jealous, which is why he kissed me all of a sudden." Maxine said it anxiously.

"What?" "You shouldn't have told that to him; I think Topher is really obsessed with being with you," Calli said.

"I think he's just wanting our friendship back," Maxine said.

"Girl, nuh-uh, you said he's jealous; he is clearly likes you," Calli said.

"You actually have a point." Maxine responds.

Maxine planned to make Topher jealous more and more by jokingly flirting with Chase.

Maxine sat beside Chase and held his hand while sitting on a bench in the school yard.

"Hey, what are you doing?" "You are being weird today," Chase asked out of confusion.

"Just do what I say. Topher is looking at us. Be sweet. Act like we are in love," Maxine whispered.

"What? why?" Chase asked.

"Because I told Topher yesterday that you are my type, and he thinks that you and I are dating, so now he is jealous of you, so stay in character; I want to make him jealous more," Maxine responded as she whispered.

"So you are using me, huh?" Chase whispered.

"Yes, but this is for awhile. Just stay here with me, okay?" Maxine said as she begged.

"Okay, fine, come here," Chase whispered as he put his hands on Maxine's shoulders and pulled her into him.

Topher saw it from his room; he got mad after seeing it, and he decided to annoy Maxine more.

Maxine was casually walking home when she suddenly stopped at the art shop near her apartment. She looked around and saw a*****e full of art materials; she was on the cloud, but she couldn't afford the prices there; it was too expensive for working students. But suddenly, someone spoke to her in a deep voice,

"You look like you want it; why don't you buy it?" the guy asked.

Maxine turns around to see who it was, and she realizes it's Topher again.

"You always do that" Maxine said as she felt annoyed.

"Do what?" Topher asked.

"You always scared sh*t out of me!" Maxine respond with sullen look

"And kidding aside, I can't afford this one; it's too expensive for me, maybe next time," Maxine said while she stared at the oil paint, then left the store.

Maxine was walking straight out of the shop when suddenly Topher ran to her,

"Here," Topher said while he panted.

"What is this?" Maxine asked and looked so confused,

"I bought it for you; I thought you'd like that, so I bought it," Topher responded while he was still panting.

At that moment, Maxine felt a thrill for what Tropher did, but still she continued to ignore him while holding the paper bag with oil paint on it.

But Topher followed her and continued to annoy her, but he planned to escort Maxine until she gets home.

"Your apartment is too far away, huh." "Where do you live?" "At the mountains?" Topher said sarcastically.

"I don't beg you to come with me; you can go if you want; I don't care!" Maxine responded angrily.

"You're too serious; I'm fooling around; calm down," Topher said.

But Maxine just gave him a sullen look and rolled her eyes.

"So here's your apartment?" Topher asked with curiosity.

"Yes, is there a problem?" Maxine asked as her other eyebrow rose.

"No, so, um, should I leave already?" Topher said it awkwardly.

"What do you think?" "Do you want to go inside?" Maxine asked sarcastically.

"If it's fine with you, maybe," Topher said while scratching his neck slowly.

"I'm joking; go away; go home!" Maxine giggled as she spoke.

"I'm actually feeling thirsty; can I just get me some water?" Topher said just to use it as an alibi to stay at Maxine's apartment.

"Okay, fine, just wait there; I'm going inside to get some water," Maxine said as she felt annoyed.

"Thank you," Topher responded while giving Maxine a cute smile.

After Maxine left, Topher received a message from her mom.

"Miggy told me you don't want to go back here in Canada; is it because of a girl?" "Miggy told me everything."

Topher got pissed at Miggy.

"Here's your water; after that, go home," Maxine said.

"Yes, ma'am," he responded.

After Topher finished his water, he returned the cup to Maxine and purposely touched her hand.

Maxine annoyingly looked at him before she could speak. Topher pulled her, and he put his hand around Maxine's back while the other hand was holding Maxine's hand.

"Don't you think I got some rizz?" Topher jokingly said

"What the heck, hahahaha, stop fooling around," Maxine said as she giggled.

"You look more beautiful when you smile, Maxine," Topher said as he was mesmerized by her beauty like before.

"You know you should go home," Maxine responded like she felt awkward hearing what Topher said.

"Okay, fine, see you tomorrow!" Topher said,

"Thank you for the gift!" Maxine shouted while Topher walking away from her.
