"Again?" "Am I famous now?" Maxine said sarcastically.

"You don't recognize me, don't you?" The guy asked like they knew each other.

"No, so who are you?" Maxine asked.

"It's me, Miggy," Miggy said with delight.

"What? you also go to this university?" Maxine felt annoyed.

"Are you not happy to see me?" Miggy asked.

"Do I look happy to you?" Maxine asked with an impassive face and suddenly walked out of the conversation.

"What is wrong with her?" Miggy asked as he whispered to himself while Maxine walked away from him.

"Hey, I saw Maxine just a while ago in the hallway, like she is in this university WITH US! "Can you believe it?" Miggy said while telling Topher what just happened earlier.

"Yah, I saw her too" Topher respond.

"Wait, what? "Are you serious?" Miggy asked, surprised by what Topher just said.

"And she's mad at us," Topher said, as he is not proud of it.

"Wait, why?" Miggy asked with curiosity.

"Don't you remember, we didn't tell her that we were going to be adopted; this is actually your fault!" Topher said as he felt guilty and mad at Miggy and suddenly walked away.

Maxine didn't recognize the twin because of their different new features. Topher looks more mature and smart than Miggy, who is wearing streetwear with red hair and piercings on his nose and lips. Topher is the best student at the university, and he is the top student in their class, while Miggy doesn't care about learning anymore. Their world just switched after they got adopted and left the orphanage.

"So what are you doing in here?" Chase asked.

"Nothing, but I have something to tell you guys, this morning I just got into something stressful," Maxine responded.

"I'm curious, what is it?" Calli asked.

Chase and Calli were Maxine's friends from the university, while Chase and Calli were from the richest family in their town. Chase is the child of the CEO of a big company that makes high-end fashion clothing, while Calli is the daughter of a billionaire who owns a lot of malls in their country.

"So this morning, while I was running late, I bumped into someone," Maxine said.

"Do they arrest you?" Chase asked sarcastically.

"No, I actually knew the guy," Maxine said, feeling anxious.

"So who is it?" Calli asked while wondering.

"It's Topher, and just a while ago I also bumped into someone, and it's Miggy, his twin," Maxine said neurotically.

"So what are you going to do?" Calli asked.

"Wait, who are these people again?" Chase asked with curiosity.

"It's Maxine's friends from the orphanage; these twins abandoned and betrayed Maxine," Calli responded.

"So these people are jerks, are they?" Chase asked.

"Exactly!" Calli said proudly.

"So what are you going to do now that you know that they also go to this university with you?" Calli asked, as she was concerned for Maxine.

"I don't know; I am thinking to avoid them, both of them." Maxine respond.

And Maxine did what she said; she avoided the twin for a whole week. When she saw them, she immediately went to hide or went another way just to refuse to see them and talk to them.

Some random guy put flowers on Maxine's table while she was reading her textbook.

"Wait, what are the flowers for?" Maxine asked the guy, as she felt weird and curious.

"A random guy told me to give it to you; there is a letter inside, and he told me to read it," the random guy responded and left.

Maxine found a letter inside the bouquet and read it.

"I know you are mad at me, and I understand why, so can you please forgive me? -Topher"

"I don't see sincerity in this," Maxine whispered to herself while feeling disappointed.

After reading the letter, she unexpectedly put the flowers in the trash, went to her seat, and read her textbook like nothing happened.

Topher saw what Maxine just did, but it didn't stop him from showing Maxine how he was sorry for his mistake.

For a week, Topher folloed Maxine around, spying on her while she went to the library, cafeteria, or even at work place, and he randomly sent gifts for her, but Maxine didn't care, and she just simply threw away all the gifts that Topher sent.

But the next morning, unexpectedly, Maxine went straight to Topher and searched him all around the campus, but she didn't see him inside the campus; she thought maybe he was in the schoolyard, sitting around, and she immediately went there, but there was still no sign of him, so she decided to go to the rooftop to smell some fresh air because she got tired looking for Topher.

And all of a sudden, someone randomly talked behind her with a deep and handsome voice,

"Looking for me?" the guy sarcastically asked.

Maxine turned around and found Topher chilling while sitting in the chair with his hands behind his head and both of his feet above the broken desk.

"What are you doing in here?" Maxine asked with curiosity and a feeling of weirdness.

"Isn't that obvious?" "I'm chilling, duh," Topher responded sarcastically.

And randomly, Maxine talked loudly,

"Can you stop sending me gifts?" "It's actually bothering me; I don't need your gifts," Maxine said, feeling annoyed and mad at Topher.

"What if I don't?" "What you gonna do about it then?" Topher responded while still in his position and looking at Maxine with his one eyebrow raised.

"Can you just be serious, because I'm serious?" Maxine asked as she begged.

"Can you listen?" Topher asked as he slowly sat down while staring at Maxine.

"Listen to what?" Maxine asked angrily.

"That day, I was actually going to tell you about the adoption, but Miggy stopped me from telling you because we thought you were going to be sad and avoid us before we left the orphanage, and I know we are the only family and friends you have, and I know after we left you thought we abandoned you, but no, we did not," Topher said calmly as he tried to explain his side.

"What do you think I am doing right now?" I'm avoiding you two, and I'm miserable for what you guys just did, but I don't care anymore." "You guys still leave me and abandon me; you haven't even tried to communicate with me or call me." "I asked sister Mary to call you both, but she just said she couldn't," Maxine said angrily as her eyes started to cry.

And suddenly someone just opened the door,

"What are you guys doing in here?" Miggy asked.

After Miggy entered, Maxine immediately left and ran away while sobbing.
