(Allison’s POV)
I don’t understand what could've happened. The day we left, we thought we’d be away for a few days and then they’d call us back. But a few hours later, we all felt it. Even Castor and Autumn.
They’ve done nothing but cry off and on for the last three weeks, but then again. So have I. Even Aries cried that first night. I’ve never known him to shed tears before now. I can’t even begin to imagine what the rest of my family must be going through.
That same night, I caught Arsyss crying as well. He'd gone out onto the outcropping of rocks overlooking the valley below us and sat gazing up at the moon. I could see his tears glistening in the moonlight. I knew he wanted to be alone, but I didn’t think any of us really should be alone right now.
