The next day the packhouse seemed… off. No, subdued would be a better word. Everyone just seemed to be a little edgier and more quiet than normal. But I guess that’s to be expected.
We took the twins to go visit Leo for a while this morning. He was thrilled to get to spend some time with them. As we were leaving, April hugged him tightly and smiled as she said, “We’ll bring them to visit you again soon. I promise.”
He was all smiles after that. Thankfully, his therapy went really well today, so Doc Helena thinks he’ll literally be back on his feet in no time. The news made April really happy. I could sense it through our mate-bond.
