After Alex and the others left, I ran to the kitchen and spent about an hour finishing up his cake for tomorrow. Austin, Conner, and Jeremy stayed in the conference room and worked on the timeline some more and, since Sparks had fallen asleep in Austin's lap, I left her with them. I mind-linked Jake and he met me in the kitchen so I wouldn’t be alone.
I hurried up and finished icing the cake, then Jake helped me put it safely in the pantry. With that done, we headed back to the conference room and on our way through the common area we saw Allison.
