(April's POV)
The next day, I tracked Jake down and drug him out to the meadow where we could talk privately. Of course, we were spotted walking into the forest so we wound up with my brother and all our mates following us. “Okay, Cuz.. what bee crawled up your bonnet?” Jake asked and I rolled my eyes as I said, “What do you do in your free time, Cuz? Study ‘things old people like to say’? Seriously. I don’t have a ‘bee in my bonnet’ for f**k sake.”
He chuckled at me as he stopped to lean against a tree and fold his arms over his chest as he said, “Okay, then. Where’s the fire?” I again rolled my eyes, though this time I just shook my head at him before asking, “Can you shift for me?” He gave me a confused look just as the others caught up with us and Alex asked, “What’s up, babe?”
