I just stood there, my mouth hanging open, until I heard Dad think, “well apparently she didn’t know either.” Which had me thinking back to him “Dad are you kidding me right now? Is this some sort of joke or something?” I actually heard Dad chuckle in his head as Thunder grumbled “So not funny, dude.” and I had to agree with him.
Dad just shook his head at both of us and answered me, “No joke, Princess. Your Mom dropped this on me the night I told you about me. We’ve just had so much going on we never got the chance to sit down and discuss it. Last night, we told Wyatt and we all decided to have a meeting with your Grandparents. Your Mother, for some ungodly reason, thought having them come here for lunch today would be great. So here we are.”
