(Alex’s POV)
We had a little while after that to ourselves. But that time wasn’t anywhere near long enough for my liking. All too soon, the motion sensors and magical alarms began going off, indicating we had trespassers.
Of course, we knew it was just Tray’s Mom coming in from their kingdom. April and I reluctantly left the twins with Rebecca and went down to greet her. “Duty calls”. April said with a sigh. I guess she felt the same way I did.
Once we were downstairs, we could tell how nervous Tray and the girls really were. April moved closer to them as a show of support, so I followed her lead. Even Tulip seemed to be more subdued as she stood there in her “human-size”.
