When Solaris rushed at me, I actually wasn’t expecting it. I wasn’t going to be able to actually put him down until Winter and the others got Brian, the kitsune, out of play.
The reason he was so important to take out is because the minute this match is over, the circle will disappear and the kitsune will have his chance to strike. Now they know for sure I’m the weapon they’ve been looking for for centuries.
If Brian gets the chance to take me out, that'll free Solaris again because, technically, according to our deal, Brian will then have the right to decide what Solaris’ punishment will be, because he'll have captured my soul. We can’t take that chance.
