(April’s POV)
When we woke up this morning, I thought “Yes! School! Something normal for a change.” I was excited to get ready and head down for breakfast. I made my usual three pots of coffee, which was slowly becoming not enough for these knuckleheads, and while it was brewing I packed a snack for Alex and me. I mean, we do get lunch today, it’s just a short one. So I figured a snack would do till we got home, then we could organize some food and snacks or something to take to the conference room with us.
After the coffee was made, I went out to get settled at a table for breakfast, had my tray of food, even made it to the table without any incident. Good start, right?
