Jackson’s POV
Tori’s been in a strange mood for the last few days, it has been a week since the stream and the night we almost mated. Man! I wish I had just done it then. These days things have been so complicated, and I don’t spend as much time with her as I wish I could. Scouts keep coming back with new vampire camps being set up around us and we need to keep going out in smaller packs to get rid of them.
I am so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open and all I want to do is get a decent night of sleep. When I get to the cave, Tori is sitting by the fire. Winter is closing in on us and we are storing food supplies for the winter before everything dries up. Winter is not a good time for us. There are just too many dangers lurking and I need to be as alert as I can be.
