It means a lot to me that you're here." They stood together for a moment, soaking in the joy of the occasion. Janesa couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the support of her loved ones. Later that evening, as Janesa checked her phone, she saw a message from Mrs. Evelyn Harper, her former mentor. The message was short but heartfelt, congratulating her on her graduation and expressing pride in her accomplishments. After the graduation ceremony, Janesa, her parents, and Henrix decided to celebrate with a dinner together at a cozy restaurant in town. The atmosphere was festive, with laughter and chatter filling the air as they settled into their table. As they perused the menu, Janesa couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over her. She was surrounded by the people she loved most, celebrating a significant milestone in her life. Henrix raised his glass, a smile playing on his lips. "To Janesa, the newest graduate! We're all so proud of you." Janesa blushed at the attention but raised her glass in return. "Thank you, Henrix. And thank you all for being here with me today. I couldn't have asked for a better support system." Her parents nodded in agreement, their eyes shining with pride. "We're just happy to see you happy, sweetheart," her mom said, reaching across the table to squeeze her hand. As they enjoyed their meal, the conversation flowed easily, filled with reminiscences of Janesa's academic journey and plans for the future. Henrix shared stories from his own college days, eliciting laughter and camaraderie As they enjoyed their dinner together, Janesa's mom leaned over to Henrix with a curious smile. "So, Henrix, are you single? Any special someone in your life?" Janesa felt a slight flush rise to her cheeks, but she was curious to hear Henrix's response. She glanced at him, waiting for his answer. Henrix chuckled softly, a playful glint in his eyes. "Well, I'm currently unattached. Been focusing on my career and friendships lately." Janesa's mom nodded, her smile widening. "That's understandable. You seem like such a catch, Henrix. I'm sure you won't be single for long." Janesa bit her lip, trying to hide her amusement at her mom's subtle matchmaking attempts. She shot Henrix a teasing grin, wondering how he would respond. Henrix simply shrugged, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. "We'll see what the future holds. For now, I'm just enjoying the company of good friends." Janesa's mom nodded approvingly, seemingly satisfied with his response. The conversation moved on to other topics, but Janesa couldn't help but feel a newfound sense of curiosity about Henrix's romantic life. She made a mental note to tease him about it later, enjoying the light-hearted banter among friends. As they said their goodbyes and parted ways, Janesa hugged Henrix tightly, feeling grateful for his friendship and support. "Thanks for everything, Henrix," she said, her voice soft with emotional Henrix smiled, returning the hug "Anytime, Janesa. I'm always here for you." As they left the restaurant and headed home, Janesa couldn't shake off her curiosity about her mom's question to Henrix. Walking alongside her mom, she decided to bring it up. "Mom, can I ask you something?" Janesa began, her curiosity piqued. "Of course, sweetheart. What's on your mind?" her mom replied, glancing at her with a gentle smile. "I noticed you asking Henrix about his relationship status back there," Janesa said, trying to keep her tone casual. "Why did you ask him that?" Her mom's expression softened, and she chuckled softly. "Oh, it's just a mother's curiosity, dear. Henrix is such a wonderful young man, and I couldn't help but wonder if he had someone special in his life." Janesa nodded, understanding her mom's perspective. "I see. Well, he's a great friend, that's for sure." Her mom smiled warmly. "Yes, he is. And who knows? Maybe he'll find someone special soon." Janesa couldn't help but smile at her mom's subtle matchmaking efforts. "Maybe," she replied with a playful grin. As they continued their walk home, Janesa felt grateful for the close bond she shared with her mom and for her genuine concern and interest in the people in Janesa's life, including her friends like Henrix. It was moments like these that made her appreciate the warmth and love of her family even more.
