Chapter Two: Crimson Shadow Pack

ALPHA GAGE

“Gage, what’s your plan? You can’t mourn forever!”

I sighed as my Beta started ranting again. He is the only one who can talk like this to me, but he is also my best friend. He is like a brother to me, and we’ve been together since we were pups.

“Stop nagging, are you gay?” I said while massaging my temples.

“What the F*ck bro?! Of course, we need Luna!”

“Elon, I can handle the pack alone.”

“I know you can, but you must have Luna. Other packs will target you for that. You can never lead without a Luna that’s against the rules.

“F*cking Rules”

My first Luna died because of rogues. She is not really my mate. She is my chosen mate. She is the perfect Luna for me. She is the only woman that I allowed to stand beside me, and she is the only woman that I will to be with me.

‘Intruders!’

“I’ll check” Beta Elon said, and he stormed out of my office.

Who would have the guts to enter my pack without my knowledge? Are these rogues again? They really do not know how to give up.

Despite the madness that I have, there’s an eerie feeling that I’ve been sensing since morning. I can’t explain what it was, I am not sure if it is good or bad.

‘A f*cking woman again?’ I responded through gritted teeth.

‘But, I think she’s different’ I raised my brows as he said that

‘Bring her to the dungeon’

I made my way to the dungeon. It's been many months since the rogues kept on sending females to lure me into their stupid plans, and this is the 5th woman this week, but when my beta said she’s different, I got curious myself. I don’t usually meet the female wolves that were being sent here, but this time I decided to check on her. I don’t understand why I have this feeling, a feeling that I have to meet her.

As I got nearer to the dungeon, I could smell a faint scent of flowers with a mix of vanilla. The scent is overwhelming even if it’s faint. I stopped my tracks as I felt that I was being pulled in like a magnet.

‘Are you coming or not?’ my beta's voice made me come back to reality.

I pushed the door open and that’s where the scent hit me like a rock from heavens. This scent was the scent that I smelled for the first time. It’s like a flower with a sweet and sugary scent with a mix of sandalwood.

My gaze explored the dark room until I met hers, her empty bluish eyes that were staring back at me. She was clearly guarded. How could a woman stare at me like this? Me? The Lycan King?

‘Mate!! Mate! Mate! Mate!’ Hugo shouted, and he kept on ranting and jumping in my head. I decided to shut him off as he was making me crazy.

She was standing, almost hanging, as her two hands were tied upward and there was a metal ball in her two feet that weighed a ton, that is to prevent her from running.

“I can’t feel her wolf” Beta Elon murmured when I came in,

‘Wolf less? I am sure I felt her wolf before she shut them off’ I thought to myself. I inspected her, she has this dirty brown and grayish hair. I cannot even distinguish her hair color, even her skin. She has got some fresh bruises and scratches, some are deep, she looks like she stinks, but her perfect scent is lingering on my nose.

“Did she say any?” I asked while keeping myself in control.

“She never talks, should I let her?” My warriors were about to move when I stopped them.

“I’ll do it” I felt my beta look at me with disbelief. I never did the talking when we wanted to let the intruder talk. Whatever t*****e they do is none of my concerns. If they don't talk, then kill, simple as that.

“Who are you?” I let out my Alpha Aura to make her talk

She stared at me for a couple of minutes. I don’t wait, I don’t make myself repeat, but for her, I waited. I know everyone in this room has wide eyes because of the patience that I am giving

But she just stared at me, I grinned, this woman…

“I will not let myself repeat” I said with impatience, but for the name of the goddess, if they just knew how badly I wanted to run to her and mark her

“What pack is this?” my brows knitted, her voice is hoarse and sharp

“I was the one asking”

“I am not a rogue, that’s all I can say”

I studied her expression, but she is good at hiding everything.

“what–

“As I said, I am not a rogue” I smirked when she cut me off. No one does that. I can feel that my warriors went pale.

“Who gave you the right to cut me off?” I said through gritted teeth. I cannot let Hugo out because I know that will be a problem.

And once again, she stared at me.

But without my consent, one of my warriors moved to stop her as she disrespected me. He was about to grab her and, before I could move a muscle, I was stunned when she swung her leg with a metal ball that weighs a ton to my warrior, and that hit his face, which made him lose his consciousness. The metal ball smacked his face so hard that I heard his bone cracks, how the hell did she lift that metal ball

“Stop” she said, almost whispering.

I heard the gasps of my warriors. My beta was about to move but I stopped him.

“Everyone. out.” I can feel their hesitation, but they still followed, even my beta wants to oppose me, but he knows when to back down.

When the room was empty, I walked towards her until we were inches away from each other.

“I was right, you are something else”

“You’re the Alpha, right?” she said, but I didn’t respond.

“Crimson Shadow Pack” I told her my pack’s name. My pack's name says it all. We are feared, and we are one of the strongest packs. Whoever hears our pack will run in fear, but I never see fear in her eyes.

“What was that?” my beta asked me as I entered the lobby.

“Send her food to eat and let her change her clothes, transfer her also to a better room”

“What for?”

“She’s under observation, watch her actions, and report to me if there is anything unusual or suspicious”

“Alpha, what’s going on?” I stopped when he asked me that question. I entered my office without a word, I could feel him behind me.

“Just follow”

“Alpha, you have to tell me what’s going on”

“Trust me, I am your Alpha” he just sigh as a sign of defeat

“I need to know everything about her, investigate, and keep this between our trusted warriors until we knew her agenda”

“But she is wolf less, I don’t think we need to waste our time on her”

“Believe me, she is not”

With that, he left my office and did as I said.

‘I don’t think she is from the rogues’

‘You can’t tell that easily’

‘She is our mate! You should’ve let me take over, your damned decisions are stupid!!!’

I shut him off as I knew he would find a way to control me, to run into her. I can’t be impulsive, no one knows where she came from. I spared her because she is my mate, but if her intentions are against my pack, I will not hesitate to end her.
