Anger, Death, And Hatred

Adrianna’s POV*

With that I felt the anger radiating from the other side as Becka throws a mystical silver dagger at Jonah. He catches it and… and… 

Argggggg it was like I was getting stabbed myself… Jonah killed him… my true love… my mate...

I couldn’t hear anything for a moment, everyone's voices went buzzing in my head. I need to fight this. As the tears streamed down my face I fought the urge to shut down. I distantly heard something, someone. 

“I will skin you alive!” screamed Angelica in anger. I watched as she found the silver dagger, covered in Max’s blood and stabbed Jonah as well. 

As Jonah’s life drained from him I remembered why I was fighting. Alissa spoke, weak but determined.

Becka and Fran weren’t expecting Jonah to die but they seemed not to care either way. They turned around and started to stalk off in victory until they heard my chant.

With that Max’s body started to hover over the ground, his wounds healing, the slit the dagger left closing up. His mind regained consciousness, and lastly his eyes opened wide. 

“MAX!” 

It worked! I- I- I can’t believe it worked. I ran to him and held him as close as I could. I heard his murmur in my ear 

“I told you, you could save me.”

But we broke apart as I heard someone else awaken. The one person that let this happen. That led them to us. Jonah. 

Before he could even walk up to us he turned around, as if he was sensing something. 

“...MATE!”

I followed his eyes to see Ash on the other side of the field. Staring at him with hatred that ran deep. He saw her hatred for him.

Ash walked towards us and stopped at Jonah as she slapped him leaving him unstable and with a red mark on his cheek.

Jonah looked so… confused. As if he couldn’t understand why his mate would hate him. 

“But… I’m your mate…”

“After all that you did, to Adri who is like a sister to me, after you killed your own alpha, after you betrayed the one person who would have been by your side no matter, do you still think I will accept you as my mate more so love you? You lost your chance the second I saw you. I am Alpha of the Starry Night pack. I don’t take betrayal at all. I Alpha Ash Sira Claws of the Starry Night Pack formally reject Jonah Cruz as my mate. Adrianna do what you please with him. I give you my full permission.”

It was as if time stood still. Everyone was staring at us. It was incredibly rare for someone to reject their mate. Jonah looked devastated and broken. I would care if it weren;t for all the torture and heart break he brought to me. But once again I couldn’t get a word out before Angelica started charging at Jonah. 

“ADRIANNA SHE JUST HANDED HIM TO YOU ON A SILVER PLATTER IF YOU DON’T KILL HIM I WILL! It should be much satisfying this time around at least this time HE’LL STAY f*****g DEAD!”
