The Omegas Painful Decision

*Ararsi* Every day is the same. I wake up, take a shower, and get on with my daily duties, which vary depending on the day. My name is Ararsi Stewart and I am an omega in the Blue Moon pack. My 18th birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and I cannot wait. My whole life I've dreamed of finding my mate, and when I turn 18, that becomes possible. I also get to meet my wolf. I've heard such amazing things about it, and I cannot wait for my turn to meet her! Today is Monday, which means I have school. We only have a few weeks left until graduation, and I cannot wait to finally get out. Don't get me wrong, I love school. I am actually very good academically, I just want to get on with my life outside of the pack house. Everyone treats me wonderfully, even as an omega maid, but I have dreams I want to fulfill. Plus, I never thought I would find my mate within my own pack. I get my things together after my shower and rush down to the kitchen. My pack always has a fully stocked buffet, so I grab some fruit and juice and rush outside. It's a beautiful day today. I have dressed my 5'6" frame in a pair of ripped shorts and a comfy t-shirt. My medium length brown hair is up in a ponytail, and I'm wearing my favorite ballet flats. I never wear makeup, but I feel like my cream colored skin and bright hazel eyes don't need any. I'm all about comfort, since when I get home I need to do my homework and get to my maid duties. I am the Alpha and Lunas personal maid. I ensure their room is spotless, as well as their suite and offices are immaculate. They have always been kind to me, and their son is no different. Kyle is my best friend. He is 3 years older then me, but we have so much in common. When I'm not doing school work or maid duties, I am with Kyle. He is like a brother to me. The Alpha and Luna also have a daughter, Brynn, but she is only 3. I do love playing with her though! Sometimes I go to Kyle's suite just to play with her. I love pups and can't wait to have one myself with my mate. My school isn't far so I walk. I love the outdoors, so walking doesn't bother me. For 10 minutes every morning, I can focus on me. My goals and dreams. I don't have to think about my class work, teachers, or maid duties. I can just focus on me. I am so lost in thought I don't hear my best friend screaming my name from her car. "Ararsi!! Hellllo!! Earth to Ararsi!! Hey, do you want a ride?" screams Jenila. She huffs when I finally snap out of my thoughts. "Oh hey, no I'm ok! I can literally see the school! I'll see you there!" She shrugs and drives off. I get to the door of the school and she is standing there. "I would have given you a ride you know? I can always pick you up on the way to school. Your packhouse is right there.. you don't have to walk all the time.." she says with her hands on her hips. Her long brown hair flicks as she moves her head to the side. "Thank you Jeni, but I'm ok, really. I love to use the time to clear my head. But don't worry, I'll try to take you up on the offer one day!" I smile at her hoping she isn't mad. "OK fine. You better!" she giggles. Jenila and I met when we were pups. She is from the Silver Moon pack, which is the neighboring pack. Our packs have always had respect for one another and we are allies. They have always stepped up to help us in times of need, as we have for them. When my mother and other pack members were killed by rogues, their pack assisted ours in avenging our lost members. I still remember that day vividly, and after that my dad started working... alot. He took a job that involved constant traveling. I think it was to run away from the pain of losing my mom, his mate. I'm told losing a mate is the most painful thing a wolf can endure. I feel awful for my loss, as well as the insurmountable pain my dad must feel. I do not hold any hatred against him for doing what he does, I just wish he was around more. I do miss him greatly. "What's with you today Ararsi? You're like in another zone. Are you ok?" Jeni questions. "Oh yeah, sorry about that again. Just thinking of my mom is all. I miss her so much still.." I sigh. She holds my hand and smiles. "I can't imagine your pain, but just know I love you. You're my best friend. And you still have your dad, and the Alpha and Luna, Kyle, and all of Blue Moon and Silver Moon. You're strong, remember that." and with that she hugs me. I didn't know I needed that. The bell rings and I'm off to my first class, History.
