" Be careful everyone and just follow my foot steps." Johnny said as he is now leading the trail, followed by Lucas, Jaehyun and at the end of the trail is Taeyong whose more alert after seeing a snake.
They are now headed to a different direction.
Lucas is already holding a bundle of dry twigs in his left hand, same with Jaehyun.
"Should we head back now?" Jaehyun asks, then stopped walking to check on the others responses.
Taeyong is about to answer, when Johnny raised his hand pointing everyone to look on their left side.
Taeyong at first thought that its another new creature. He slowly checked on what Jaehyun is pointing at.
Then Johnny said, "I think its a river!!!"
Out of excitement and disbelief, Taeyong walk past Jaehyun and Lucas to get to where Johnny is. For him to see what Johnny is seeing.
Not too far from where they are standing is a river!!!
"Daebak!!! It really is!!" Taeyong exclaimed. Then he covered his mouth surprised that his voice almost filled the entire forest, even causing few birds to fly away from their direction.
Everyone look around to examine the area and check if other creature was alerted by Taeyong's voice.
"It seems like we are good.." Johnny reassured Taeyong, then tap his shoulder signalling him to follow his track as they head to where the river is.
After recovering from shock and knowing everything seems to be fine, Taeyong followed Johnny.
Lucas and Jaehyun looked at each other, both are too afraid to make a sound. They quietly followed Johnny and Taeyong's trail.
Outside the forest....
Everyone look all at the same time in the direction where Taeyong and his group headed to.
They all heard the sounds of the birds who seems like they've been disturbed.
"Did you guys hear that?" Mark break the silence.
"Yes." Haechan responded while still looking at the vast greens behind them.
Ann looks so worried. They are all worried for the others who are inside the forest.
After creating the last letter "S" to complete the S. O. S sign out of the coco leaves, Ann and the other two headback to where Doyoung is.
"Do you think its best if we follow them?" Ann asked as soon as they reached their base.
Doyoung whose eyes are fixed on the direction Taeyong's group went to, turns around after hearing Ann.
He then looked at the others. He noticed that everyone looks tired from all the tasks that they just finished. He realized it will not be a good idea for them.
"No. It's best for us to wait here. I know you are all worried, but let's just trust them. I am sure they will be back soon." Doyoung reassured the others. He smiled to everyone trying to give them comfort.
Ems noticed what Doyoung is doing. As the oldest in the group she feels the need to do the same.
"I agree with him. It will be more difficult if we get lost in the woods. We should just wait here for now." Ems said.
They all agreed to what Doyoung and Ems' said. They just quietly seat on the files of coconut leaves that are now scattered to make a space for them to sleep in later tonight.
Above it are also weaved coconut leaves that serve as additional shade for them.
"You guys did great in setting this up!" Jeno said as he looked at the space they created. His trying to divert everyone's attention to something else.
"It was Ann's idea." Haechan responded.
"She is actually into hiking or mountaineering. That's why she knows few things about staying in this kind of place." Ems said.
"Oh! That explains why you have all of those in your luggage! Haha. I've been thinking about the mini tool kit, I mean the knife and all other stuffs. Why you have it with you? Now my curiosity was addressed." Mark said while laughing.
"I know it seems to be weird for some. But yes, I am into those kind of adventures, that's why I have all of those." Ann said proudly.
"Wow! That's great! Then I think we shouldn't be worrying about you, in fact I think we can rely on you in this situation." Jeno said with full smile on his face. He then looked at Jaemin to give Jaemin a meaningful look.
He is already sensing that Jaemin is showing too much care for Ann. He knows his friend too well. It's not that he is against it, but in their current situation, he knows that they all need to have a sound mind.
Mark asked Ann to share few of her adventures or experiences in the mountains.
Jaemin did not see the look Jeno gave him because he was just looking at Ann as she shared stories about some of her adventures in the mountains she visited.
Their worries somehow subside as they are now focus on Ann sharing her stories about her travels.
They are all gathered in their so-called base, all eyes on Ann, seated like kinder-gardeners, listening to their teacher while the teacher tells a story. This is their state when Taeyong, followed by Johnny, Jaehyun and Lucas came out from the forest.
Ann and the others all looked at the same time to Taeyong and his group. They all immediately stand up to welcome the new comers.
Ann is so happy to see the other group, but her expression changes when she noticed that Lucas is supporting Jaehyun as the two walk together.
Doyoung also noticed it, him and Ann immediately run to the new comers direction to check on them.
Haechan, Mark, Jaemin and Ems seems to be at lost on why Ann and Doyoung acted that way because from where they are standing they did not see Jaehyun and Lucas' way of walking.
While Jeno also run to meet the new comers thinking that they needeed help to carry the supply they have.
