"So.. How are we going to start the fire?" Mark asked Jeno while scratching his head.
Ann handed Jeno who's starting to file up the dried woods to create bon fire a tiny magnifying glass attached to a thermometer that mountaineers use to keep track of the temperature.
"This is what we can use in starting up a fire." Ann said.
Jeno took it and looked back and forth to the magnifying glass and to Ann's face.
"Ahh!! I get it now!!" He then exclaimed after remembering Ann's story earlier on how to use it.
"Okay!! Let's do this!" Mark said happily.
Jeno made sure the woods are filled up with dry leaves in the center of it. He then focused the magnifying glass to it while the sun's rays pass through it.
In just few minutes smoke started to appear Jeno and Mark started to blow on it and voila!!! After few minutes fire started to build up.
Mark helped in putting in more dry leaves to make sure the fire will last long enough to burn the dry woods.
"Wow!!! It really worked! This is my first time to do it!" Jeno said with a broad smile in his face.
The others are also celebrating by giving whoever is near them a high five. They are so happy and thankful that everything seems to be working out so well.
When the bon fire appears to be stable Jeno and Mark joined the others who are seating on the files of leaves.
A moment of silence passes. Everyone seems to be enjoying the quietness and starts to appreciate the beauty of the island.
From where they are resting they are surrounded with huge trees that also provides shades. The sand in the island is white and so fine. On one side of the island they can see huge rocks that are filed up and looks like sculpted beautifully and on the other end they can see a cliff.
They just sat there enjoying the beauty of nature. The sun sets beautifully giving a golden color to the sky.
"Did you guys see a path that could lead us to that cliff when you went inside the forest?" Jaemin asked that breaks the silence.
"No. We didn't see any human trail at all. We even had to create our own path. " Taeyong responded.
"Then I guess we need to find our way up to that cliff." Ann said. "It may help us, if we get to that part of the island. It will give us a better view of the island." She added.
"That's a good idea." Ems agreed, but deep inside she is a little worried, given that it's an uphill climb Ann will surely join or even lead them. Knowing her friend the adventurous side of her will surely come out.
"We'll do that tomorrow." Doyoung said while standing up.
He then went to the spot where the supply is. He picked up the bag Ann handed him. He opened it and took out few biscuit packs and small bag of nuts, and he also picked up the remaining water from earlier.
" Let's eat for now." He declare, then handed out a pack of biscuit to each and everyone.
"It's getting dark now. It's best if we eat now so we can all prepare to go to sleep." Doyoung said.
"It's not like we are in a hotel, Hyung, where we need to get ready to sleep." Haechan said with a mischievous smile on his face. But he still took the biscuit from Doyoung's hand.
"This is all that we got." Jeno said while also smiling and looking at the space they cleaned up.
"Yah! Yah! Yah!" Doyoung said raising his voice a little to give warning to the youngest to stop teasing him. He smiled then, after realizing that for a moment he forgot where they are.
They all ate silently.
"Should we all sleep now?" Lucas said while yawning.
"Yes. You guys can go to sleep now. Mark, Haechan, Jaemin, and I will stay awake for now." Doyoung said.
"I get it. We need to take turns to be a look out" Jaemin responded.
"We know you guys are more tired than us." Mark said when he noticed that Taeyong looks like he don't agree.
"Thank you." Johnny said as he tap Mark's shoulder.
"Ann and Ems, you ladies can sleep here." Doyoung said while pointing on a file of leaves on top of a flat huge rock. It looks like a bed of leaves.
"I am still not sleepy. You can sleep first Ems." Ann said to Ems.
"Okay. Just lay beside me if you feel sleepy." Ems said yawning.
The rest are already sleeping. They uses the coats as their blankets on a cold night.
Doyoung, Mark, Haechan, Jaemin and Ann are seating near the bon fire.
"It's so quiet now." Mark said while holding one dry wood on his hand as he pushes the other woods to be near the fire.
"It's beautiful isn't?" Ann said while smiling and her gaze fixed on the bon fire.
Haechan looked at her a little surprise. He did not expect someone to describe their current situation in that way.
Ann felt Haechan's gaze at her.
She looked at him with a smile.
" I know.. Did I surprise you?" She said followed with a little laugh in the end.
"I am pertaining to the beauty surrounding us." Ann said.
"I agree. It's really beautiful. The place we are in right now and even this bon fire it looks perfect." Jaemin said.
Haechan laughed shyly while scratching his head. Mark puts his right arm around Heachan to comfort him from embarassment while laughing secretly.
"Thanks, Jaemin. I thought I am weird when I said it." Ann said while tapping Jaemin's shoulder.
Jaemin shyly smiled and felt happiness from within, because of the attention he received from Ann. He also felt happy that the lady mentioned his name.
Then they just all sat there while also staying alert...
