“I tell you. It just wasn’t there!” Tuck was practically yelling at Ruth. “I knew she was gonna pull something. Donna said the money was transferred same as usual. Now we get a shipment without anything!” “Keep your voice down,” Ruth warned Tuck, her face red with anger. “I’ll handle this. Whatever she’s trying to pull…well, she won’t get away with it. She’s got more to lose than we do.” Cam watched as Ruth stalked out of her room. She, Tuck, and Douglas stared at each other. The laundry supplies had been delivered as usual that morning but none of the barrels held anything but detergent. No one seemed to know what was happening.
