Cameron sat in the far corner of the dorm study hall, by the window, totally engrossed in the large text open before her, her short dark hair hanging loosely over her forehead. Her only movement was to write short, terse notes on the pad to her right. “Phone for you. It’s another guy. Sounds like he can’t keep his pants on. Got to speak to you right away,” her roommate, Andrea, whispered, leaning over the table. She emphasized the “right away” and leaned against the wall as Cam stretched back. “Who?” Cam looked up at her. Andrea shrugged as Cam pushed herself away from the table. Andrea shook her head in resignation. There she’d been, practically sitting on the phone, waiting for Jimmy to call, and who was the first call for? Cameron. Cam went grudgingly to the pay phone in the hallway
