Chapter 1: Abyss.
The Tanica mountain area is extremely deserted, a mountain with high cliffs, so the people who come here are mostly mountain climbers. At this time, darkness had covered Mount Tanica. The area was too far from the city, so there was no light but the light from the twinkling stars in the deep black sky. But tonight was a little different as a flicker of light moved beneath the giant trees toward the top of the mountain. The road to the top of Mount Tanica follows a high ridge; one side is dense forest, and the other is a deep abyss. The night wind blows over the cliffs, creating a terrifying howl like a wolf. A black car swept its headlights into a giant halo, slowly moving on the rough stone road. It struggled against the strong winds, slowly crawling to the top of Tanica. There were two people in the car. The man driving the vehicle was wearing a black vest, in his thirties. Sitting beside him was a young woman in a thin white dress about twenty-six years old. She ran a hand through her soft blond hair, looking anxiously at the man. "It's getting dark. Should we stop the car and rest?" "No need." The man replied. "We are almost there. Today is your birthday. Let me bring you a surprise." "Thank you!" The woman said her smile was charming. Since yesterday, he said he wanted to give her a special birthday present. But that gift he left at the top of Mount Tanica, so they drove from noon until it was already dark; they still hadn't reached their destination. The car went a little further and reached the top of the mountain. The man turned off the engine, turned off the headlights, opened the car door, and got out. Without car headlights, the space is even darker. "Come out; you'll see how special my gift is." He opened the door and helped her out of the car. Although it was summer, it was still quite cold outside; the wind blew on the thin white dress, making the woman shiver. She eagerly looked at the man. "Where's my birthday present? I can't see anything if you turn off the car lights." He took off the tie around his neck, tied it over her eyes, and cheerfully said: "It's a secret gift. You can't open your eyes to peek." "At night like this, I can't see anything when I open my eyes; you don't need to blindfold me." She pulled her tie away from her eyes, protesting. "It's dark, but you can still see a little. I wanted to give you a surprise." He tied his tie over her eyes. "Let's go!" He took her hand and walked away. She happily followed him, the wind blowing hard as if to knock everything down. "Go a little further; it's coming!" He continued to lead her away. She didn't know that he was leading her to the cliff. This place is Tanica Peak, so the cliffs are very high, vertical, and dangerous. "Are we there yet?" She suddenly noticed that he had stopped. She squeezed his hand. "Where's my birthday present? It's great, isn't it?" He removed his hand from hers, slowly pushing her to stand on the cliff's edge. "This gift is very precious. Now prepare to receive it." She nodded, smiling. "What are you doing so secretively? Hurry up." "Okay, it will be very soon." He let go of her hand, stood back, and then suddenly pushed her hard on the back. The push sent her tumbling forward, down the cliff. She panicked and shouted. "Help me!" There was no answer, only the sound of the wind howling in her ears. She pulled her tie from above her eyes, but in front of her was pitch-black darkness. The falling speed was too fast; before she had time to react, a thud sounded, and then a stream of hot, salty water rushed up and choked her neck, and a terrible pain spread throughout her body. It made her completely faint. In the darkness, the man stood looking down into the dark abyss, a sinister smile on his lips. "Happy birthday!" He waved his hands, didn't look at the black car, but went to another vehicle parked behind a thick bush, sat in it, and drove down the mountain back to the city that night. ... At dawn, a group of about ten mountaineers camped at the base of the mountain decided to set off to climb the craggy cliffs of mount Tanica. Last night they went to sleep very early, so today, everyone is highly healthy and full of energy. They tied the safety belts on their bodies, clinging to the sharp ledges, and slowly climbed up. Climbing is very strenuous; they have to swing on the cliffs, and finding a place to put their feet is extremely difficult. It was not until the pale yellow sunlight covered Mount Tanica that the group of mountaineers climbed halfway up the cliff. A man looked at his watch and shouted to his teammates: "Take a break; it's already nine o'clock." When everyone was tired, they stopped, some dangling on the lifeline, some sitting on the cliff or leaning against it. Now resting, they have time to observe the majestic scenery of this mountainous region. Suddenly, a person discovered a rock crevice in the middle of the mountain glimmering with something white, reflecting the sunlight, which was extremely eye-catching. He pointed towards it, shouting: "What is that?" They all looked at the same time in the direction he pointed, but because it was pretty far away, they did not know what it was. A man put binoculars to his eyes, adjusted the distance, stared, and then suddenly exclaimed: "It's a person, a girl!" This news shocked the group. A girl stuck in a crevice in the middle of a cliff. Is this an accident, or is it a mountain climber like them? "I saw blood; there was blood on her dress." The man with the binoculars said in a panic. "Maybe it was an accident. Let's go there." The group of climbers immediately changed course. They did not climb to the top of the mountain but managed to rise to the rock crevice where the girl was in trouble. It took a long time before they reached the rock crevice. All were horrified when they saw the girl's condition. Large patches of dried blood covered her body. "She's still alive!" A person puts his hand on the aorta of the girl's neck. "But her pulse is feeble; we need to get her to the hospital as soon as possible." Another person looked up at the top of the mountain and exclaimed in surprise: "This girl must have fallen from the top. It's a miracle not to die at this height." "Fortunately, she got stuck in the ravine; if she fell a little more, she wouldn't be able to survive." Another said. The group tied the rope around the girl and carefully led her down the mountain. They immediately put her in the car and drove quickly to the city hospital.
