My Luna

The stares. The smiles. The seductive looks. The no-harm dangerous look, she could not understand what was going on. “Come on son, show us who she is. Show us your bride.” Luna cheered him on. Cheyenne’s heart raced faster. Suddenly, their eyes locked and as soon as she could, she cut the eye contact that existed between them. “Son. Do not put us in any more suspense, show us your bride” The Luna reminded her son who stood still, looking in a direction no one understood. Cheyenne became worried and she could not tell why. Steele smiled at his mother and walked towards a part of the room, maintaining a smile on his face. Cheyenne became worried. Steele was coming towards her direction. Was the future Luna close to where she was? Then that spelt bigger trouble as the new Luna could possibly have seen her in the dress and knowing she was just a maid, she could do anything to punish her. Her heart threatened to explode. Suddenly, the smile on Steele’s face began to dissipate. What was going on? Why was he feeling that way? Of course, he had felt the mate pull when he walked towards Cheyenne but now, he felt being pulled to someone else. That was impossible. He was positive Cheyenne was his mate but then, what was wrong with him? Why was he being pulled to someone else? Steele looked back in anger to see who it was and then, he saw her. A beautiful young lady who was way prettier than Cheyenne. Her jet black hair stretched to waist length. Her beautiful white eyes complimented her oval shaped face that spoke calmness. She was averagely tall. Tall enough for a woman, actually. She was indeed the perfect definition of a Luna and from her appearance, she looked like the daughter of an Alpha herself. Anyone would be glad to marry her and make her his mate but… “Who are you?!” Steele asked, trying not to show his anger. With a smile on her face, she hurriedly answered “I am Terra, daughter of Alpha, Jon Snow, the Alpha of the Spirit Wolf park” Again, she beamed with a smile with her cool, soothing voice wowing the heart of everyone present there including the Luna and the Alpha himself. Steele was indeed lucky to have found such a pretty lady as his bride. He exhaled three times before holding her hand and leading her to the center of the room. Cheyenne looked around again and yes, he was there talking to some other guards. She did not want to bother him so she waited for him to be done. The Alpha and the Luna clapped in happiness and so did everyone present there as they awaited Steele to make the special announcement. Alpha Jon Snow hurriedly made his way towards Alpha Stalker. He could not contain his joy. “We would make such a great in-law” Alpha Jon Snow smiled widely, revealing his teeth. “Of course, we will” Alpha Stalker smiled too, watching the future Luna blush as Steele walked with her slowly to the center of the room. He did not seem to be in a hurry as he walked gently. Finally, they got to the center of the room. Cheyenne could not wait for the ceremony to be finally over. She had her own life to leave. “Speaking of him, where is he?” Cheyenne asked herself rhetorically as she looked around in search of him. She could not just wait to start her life with him but her dreams were immediately shattered when she saw him. Roman was there and she was about to move towards him but her legs got glued to the floor in shock. Roman was having a discussion with another woman and was laughing heartily. Anger welled up in her and immediately, she pouted her lips, looking for Winter instead. “I, Alpha Steele Walker, son of Alpha Stalker Walker of the rising moon park in front of everyone here present today…..” He paused. “Come on, son!” Luna screamed in excitement as she sighted the bride who was red from blushing. “I, Alpha Steele Walker, son of Alpha Stalker Walker of the rising moon park in the presence of everyone bearing me witness today, reject you, Terra, daughter of Jon Snow as my future bride and Luna” He let out with a mischievous grin. Immediately, the atmosphere changed as confusion filled the air. The Luna looked at her husband and he stared back at her in confusion. What was going on? “Son, what are you doing?!” The Luna yelled at her son in anger. “Son, what are you saying?” Alpha Stalker asked calmly. Of course, the red bride had already turned sour and had begun to cry. Who wouldn’t? Alpha Jon Snow looked at his frustrated daughter who had broken down in tears. Of course, he felt pity for her but he just could not understand why Steele would do that. “Don’t you dare embarrass me right here in front of everyone, what are you saying?” Alpha Stalker walked up to his son, grabbing him by his arm. “I am not sorry for what I have just said because I mean it” He turned to his father, not hiding his point. “I rejected Terra and I will reject her again if need be, because she is not my mate” He explained. Again, another bout of confusion sprung up. Terra stared at him in confusion. What was going on? Of course, he was her mate. She felt the pull and so did he. It was evident that they were destined to be together by the moon goddess. Everyone waited for a valid explanation as they were tired of the suspense he was putting them in. “What do you mean? Give us a valid explanation and stop wasting our time here. What do you mean by the jargon you are spewing?” The Alpha yelled? “She is not my mate!” He yelled back at his father. The once supposed joyful event was beginning to turn to one of disaster. Alpha Stalker looked like he was determined to tear down his son and Steele was also not going to back down. “She is your mate and you have to accept her as your mate now!” “Well, I won’t because she is not my mate. The moon goddess must have made a mistake pairing us as a couple. I know she is not my mate!” He defended himself. Immediately, the crowd began to dissipate. “What are you saying, son? What has come over you? How dare you accuse the moon goddess of.. son, that is blasphemy” The Luna walked over to her son and placed her arm on his shoulder. “I found my mate” He sighed. “Wh .What do you mean?” The Luna raised her brows in surprise. “Yes, mama, I found my bride. I found my mate. I found my Luna” Steele smiled as he watched the confusion that set on his father and his mother. “Who is she? Tell us son” The Luna anticipated his response. Instead, he responded with a smile. “Come on, do not keep us waiting any longer, who is your bride?” Cheyenne could not take it anymore, she could not stand seeing her love with another person, smiling and laughing like the strange woman had the key to his joy and happiness. She searched for Winter, at least she could comfort her but she could not find her. With no choice, she turned to leave but was unexpectedly stopped by shock. “Cheyenne” He answered, staring at her as she was about to leave. “Yes? How can I be of help to you?” She answered as she turned back, unexpectedly stopped by him, of course, she was no longer under his control, well, probably till she left. “What is it? Does Cheyenne know her?” The Luna asked, trying to understand what was going on while watching her husband who remained mute. “Cheyenne.... is my mate” He revealed.
